Friendly and wonderful customer service. The kids loved the indoor pool with the easy gradual steps to get in. I really enjoyed the hot tub, and the pool hours were until 11, which was super helpful.

We have stayed at this Hampton over the past several years while visiting our daughter at SIU-C. We have ALWAYS had a pleasant experience-from the staff at the reception desk, upon arrival-to the morning breakfast staff who bring a smile to your face...and the housekeeping staff, too!!! Our daughter has graduated over the weekend, and her life is moving forward-so we will not be seeing these people again...We just want you all to know how great you are! Thank you all so very much!

This property is in need of attention if not upgrades. The rooms are showing their wear and tear, needing an upgrade. The overall property is good to maintain its Hilton License, but the other Hilton property in Carbondale is better. Food for breakfast is what is to be expected

Hotel was in a great location for my needs. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Breakfast was above average for a free meal.
My only complaints were that is was loud at all hours. Due to time changes I often didn't go to sleep until after 1am, and it was loud even then. I was awoken one morning by the housekeeping staff greeting each other loudly outside my room. The shower was hard to regulate temperature - it was either too hot or too cool and there was quite a delay when making adjus**ents. The toilet also didn't flush consistently. Nothing major; just some annoying things when there for a week.

Our son is a student at SIU and on one of the sports teams. We come to Carbondale 3-4 times a year and have always stayed at this hotel. This will be the last time. The hotel has gone way down hill. This week the hotel was full with two swim teams and all of their families. The breakfast “buffet” was the worst I have ever seen at a hotel. Microwaveable egg sandwiches was the only offering. You should have seen the line of athletes waiting to microwave their sandwich. The waffle machine was out of order. The oa**eal was packets from Walmart. We also have always been able to find something gluten free in the breakfast buffet. Not this time. On top of that there was no hot water in the hotel last night or today. Not even luke warm.

This hotel used to be my “go to” when working in Carbondale. No longer. Under new ownership, it has fallen apart from a service perspective. Apparently new ownership implemented some takeaways from staff, which resulted in the loss of all or a significant number of the housekeeping team. My room was not cleaned, despite requests two days in a row. My toilet became clogged and they fixed it but failed to clean it, the floor where they worked, or take out a towel they apparently used. My towels were not replenished with clean ones daily. I complained. I was apologized to but there was no offer monetarily or points-wise. I canceled my reservation and moved next door to Holiday Inn (becoming HI Express) and the experience there was far superior.
