Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carlisle - Harrisburg Area

Sink drain smells like sewer, hair dryer doesn’t work, tub drain broken and rusted, shower chipped in many places, room smells moldy. Don’t waste your money staying here. It’s clearly not taken care of. The location is next to an off ramp of the turnpike. Trucks will keep you awake all night.

The room was run down and damaged. The breakfast was bad and the small refrigerator was not cold the milk and yogurt had gone bad

I cannot believe that this location remains in the IHG portfolio. Easily, the worst HIExpress I've ever stayed in (and there have been MANY). Firstly, the office chair in the room was inoperable and had to request a different one so that I could work on my laptop at the desk. The AC unit was loud and not in proper working condition. Even at the coolest temperature setting, my room remained at 78 degrees. I requested a room change which was granted to me. Mind you, the first room was generally dirty, but the second one was even more so. It is clear that management at this particular hotel cuts faaaar too many corners when it comes to cleanliness and the general appearance of the interior. It's almost as if they are waiting for the hammer to come down from IHG properties and they are just saying, "eff it. We're not putting any $ into this place any longer." Many terrible paint jobs, quick fixes, and shortcuts. I almost hate to subject you, the reader of this review, to the attached images... my faucets, shower surround, lamp-base, and pictures of outside the room near elevators. Mind you, it was like this everywhere in the interior of the hotel. It's no wonder why the occupancy on the night of my particular stay was very low. IHG should be ashamed that they allow this to happen.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean and dispite being next to I-76 the rooms were quite ( this was also handy to get back on the road)

This hotel is sub par at best. I am disappointed and shocked that IHG would allow their name to be with this owner. Dirty, poor condition of furniture, sink, shower… I could go on and on. It’s disgusting. Trust me, don’t stay here. This is my first review ever.

Very professional ,kind and polite lady at front desk . Great price and clean

Was greeted by the desk clerk who only greeted me with hello, asked for my license and cc then did not say a word during check in. Not very friendly. The room was clean and tidy and was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast items at 7:30am were sp**** with several items that were out. The hot table had no hot foods available except for some very dry eggs. The meat was never refilled. Settled for a bagel and yoghurt. The bagel was really stale. Coffee was weak. Ended up at the Ritters next door to get coffee. Overall a value but would not recommend the breakfast there.

Nice room and breakfast, could use more lighting outside and better upkeep. The jacuzzi wasn't working, exit door broken. The warm temperature was nice throughout the building on a cold day.
