Swimming pool still not open at the hotel. Smelt like done one had been smoking in the bathroom prior to our stay.

What a lovely building , I’m definitely going to return . Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool which was an added bonus . Hotel is very central and perfect base to explore Carlisle . Lots of shops , restaurants and overall a great place .

The main problem i found was the Parking not enough for the size of Hotel . Manger was ok i had to park my car on the road and get up early

Stay was fine but had to move room due to door banging from early morning due to staff moving about. Once in new room stay was much better. Dont stay in rooms 203, 204 or 205 unless want wakenef at 0600 ...

Stayed here last night, never again. In walking in the door there is an odd unpleasant smell. Later in the evening after going out and coming back the whole reception smells of cooking chips in dirty oil. The room was very dated. I had an adjoining door which meant the person coughing next door felt like he was in my room. The worst part was the noise from the shops underneath. Power tools in use until gone 11pm and the started again at 3am until 5.30amI called reception who said they had the same issue the week prior. He said they had permission. After having no sleep I decided to lose my money on my train ticket and leave on the first train at 6.30am. The guy on reception said the GM would call me when she was in at 7am. It’s now 9pm and no one has called. Awful place, not even worth 1 star.
