We had booked a twin room 10 days before our arrival. Despite this being confirmed on-line, when we arrived it was clear there was not a twin room reserved for us. We were offered a complimentary upgrade but it was not a twin room so we wouldn't accept it. Eventually they put us in a tiny family room (1 double 1 single bed) which had not been prepared properly. The hospitality tray had not been replenished, and the glasses were dirty, sticky substance around the rims. The television was not working. The bathroom was so small approximately 2 metre square, it was impossible. The room 123 was front facing, and was unbearably hot. When you opened the windows to let some air in the noise from the traffic outside made it impossible to sleep. The hotel did provide a fan for our second night which made it better. One positive was that the breakfasts were very good. However, overall a very disappointing experience.

Absolutely lovely hotel Wonderful staff and hospitality was absolutely fantastic Staff couldn’t of done anymore for us, very attentive very helpful Breakfast was delicious too Room was stunning Close to main centre all walking distance We stayed with our young daughter and it was a lovely welcoming experience. Thanks for having us we will definitely be retuning xx

A lovely little hotel, cheaper than Travelodge and Premier Inn but much nicer. A nice room - very quiet and comfortable bed, with a decent ensuite - and a good breakfast included in the price. Small number of staff but all everso friendly and helpful and the self service check in/out was fine (although a member of staff popped up to make sure all was ok). Recommended - will definitely stay again when travelling down south from the Highlands.

The hotel was very clean and well situated just a 15 minute walk from the town centre. Bedroom was comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was tasty with a choice of hot and cold food. All staff very helpful. Good pub situated across the road.

It was an ok stay. Lovely reception area and warm welcome. Room updated and we both slept well....very comy bed. Bathroom ok. .some modern touches but a shelf we could not use as it sloped and everything fell off. Breakfast ok all hot but coffee bad...as I dont eat breakfast coffee is important to me.

We were originally going to stay in one of the usual UK chain hotels in Carlisle but with them being overly expensive we decided to try the Cumbria Park Hotel having read the recent positive comments. For £40 less including breakfasts we treated ourselves to the Rickerby suite which comprised of two separate rooms, a shower room, and a stand alone bath. Very spacious, clean, and luxurious, and to our surprise we had been left some complementary goodies, including small bottles of whiskey and vodka. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfasts had plenty of choice. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again if we visit Carlisle.

First time staying here, hotel was lovely, very clean, still under refurbishment but almost done. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, great choice. Bar was well stocked, reception area was warm and welcoming. Will defo stay here again.
