Always enjoy coming to this hotel. Another lovely stay at the Crown Hotel. Room lovely. Bed very comfy and hotel all very clean. Excellent food, lovely staff. A couple of sunbeds to lie and chill between sauna and pool etc would add to a Fab spa.

Our second stay here and we returned because we were very impressed last time. The check-in process was very smooth and efficient. Staff were polite, professional and helpful. The room, reception, bar and leisure club were very clean and bright. Food was tasty and well presented. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the free WiFi. It would hardly connect and once it was connected it was very slow. Improve that and it would be a 5-star review.

We stayed at the hotel whilst on a Rail Discoveries holiday. The hotel was excellent, food was superb and the hotel was in a really lovely setting. Perhaps the very best of the stay however were the staff, Hollie and Demi on reception, Maisie, Iris and Emma who worked the bar and restaurant and Carol from Madrid. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they never stopped working. A real credit to the hotel. We will hopefully be staying there again

We were part of a group of eleven starting our 84 mile hike of Hadrian’s Wall. Stayed at the Crown Hotel for two nights. The rooms are of decent size with decent bathroom but in need of redecoration. Breakfast and dinner were good but not exceptional.

We only stayed one night but the experience was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. The room was big and very comfortable, we will be returning as soon as possible. The hotel has recently acquired added rooms and they have been upgraded to a very good standard. Thank you.

Great country house hotel with restaurant and spa on site. Excellent service. A great place to pit stop when doing the long drive up or down the country. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very nice. Pool and gym were excellent. Will stay there again next time I pass through.

A fine hotel in a beautiful location. The property is well appointed, comfortable and clean with a good (fine dining) restaurant in addition to a bar type restaurant. My room was modern and finished to a high standard and the staff were friendly and efficient.
