Marbrisa Carlsbad Resort

The desk clerk was very nice and helpful as we checked in. Since it was our first stay, we would have liked knowing we could text the resort with questions or concerns. Instead I called the front desk. A light bulb needed changing. I called and it was changed while we were gone with a chocolate hammer left! Appreciated that. Our room is in The Cove area and has a decent sized refrigerator and microwave and large coffee maker with two large bags that would work for 8 cups. The bed and linens were great. Our end unit stayed cool until late afternoon without air conditioning. The bathroom was large. Wish there was a handle on the wall in the bath/shower for safety purposes, especially for us seniors. Our room faces the adult pool that was quite beautiful at night and nice and large to swim in. There are many adjustable lounges throughout the pool area as well as fire pits, a jacuzzi, and cabanas as well as hammocks. A large pool with a slide for children is a short distance away. Beside the adult pool is a bar serving adult beverages and a short list of food. I had a Caesar salad with chicken the first night that was quite good. Daily activities are optional, listed on boards throughout the resort. We received a list of area restaurants and a card good for 10-20% off of bills for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Many are located in the quaint downtown area of Carlsbad right above the ocean. It was fun to explore! We would gladly return to the MarBrisa Hilton resort.

Friendly staff, great food and drinks, with a beautiful atmosphere I would highly recommend this place for a family vacation or just adult getaway.

Prompt responses from staff when we needed extra amenities. Miguel from maintenance and Sara from reception desk were outstanding. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

I am writing this review based on the weekend we spent at the MarBrisa property in early March 2026. We had an issue with our stay and I spoke in person with Christopher Chennault Director of Front Operations. He promised me he would find resolution and would follow up. Chris sent me an email that vaguely covered our issue but did not exactly state the fact that we spent lots of hard earned money to spend a weekend at this resort, we did not come on a promotion or tour. Chris promised in the email he would follow up shortly with a resolution.. he did not. I responded to his email 2x and have been ghosted 2x. At this point I will seek other forms of resolution with my credit card company and contacting corporate. I am heavily disappointed in the experience we had at the Hilton MarBrisa and the customer service from Christopher Chennault was inadequate and now filed as lip service in my opinion.

Great stay. The property is beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed four days and didn’t want to leave! The pools in the Cove neighborhood were awesome—so clean and comfortable. We really felt like we were on a true resort vacation. The room had many nice touches like the giant soaking tub, comfy living space and fully equipped kitchen. There was a broom, laundry basket and step stool in the “pantry”, as well laundry detergent. We took advantage of the free laundry in the building—helped while we traveled with two young kids. This is a timeshare property so of course they really want you to attend their sales pitch. We did not, and were not shy about saying no thank you. They weren’t annoying about it like some other properties we’ve been to in the past. This property had a private entrance into Legoland that was 12/10 awesome! Five minute walk from our room into Legoland—I was so impressed. That amenity alone made this hotel totally worth it. To receive the pass to use the special entrance, I had to chat with a friendly sales guy after I checked in at the front desk. He went through this whole 5 min pitch, gave me my pass and 100 other papers about the property and asked when I’d like to attend a sales meeting. I said “no thanks, not interested.” He handed me two ice cream bars and I went on my way. Not overly forceful but it did add 15 mins to my check in process and I don’t think it was avoidable since they practically wave you down lol. We will absolutely come back when we’re in the area. Loved it!

The cafe at the pool is closed Tuesday thru Thursday, that was our only disappointment during our stay

Kevin !!! Literally the best !!!! This was one of the best experiences! I definitely have to come back ! The gentlemen that helped us was KEVIN &!he made sure we were taken care of ! Literally a home away from home . VERY PEACEFUL ! I can’t stress it enough ! I felt comfortable and happy & celebrated my baby birthday in the best way ! Thank you all

Great location and awesome side access into Legoland. Multiple pools and restaurants. Only snag was our room wasn’t cleaned well when we entered. Found jelly/jam stuck on the floor and fold out couch. Used baby wipes and spent 20 min cleaning it up versus waiting to have someone come and we had already unpacked. Other than that, great trip.

The resort was one of our favorites! We will definitely be back. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The pools and hot tubs were so fun. The only downside was the lullaby’s played at the pool! The private path to Lego land was a game changer!
