如果想體驗住鎮上的感覺，可以選擇卡梅爾鎮上的旅館。但價格偏貴，設施一般老舊，但還算乾淨。該酒店免費停車、房間較乾淨。設施有些老舊，但是鎮上一般酒店的通病。

Very nice stay overall. Love the updated king rooms with the fireplace and the jetted bathtub is amazing and was able to fill and enjoy without running out of hot water. The private little courtyard was nice for enjoying coffee or a glass of wine. The only real negative is the ceiling seems to be quite thin and our headboard wall was against an outside stairwell and we could hear every step up the stairs and across the floor above us. We were there Fri-Tues and the weekend night were the worst, quieting down on the weeknights. Overall our stay was very enjoyable however, next time we will get a room upstairs if available. BTW, their coffee is excellent and the cookies each day are delicious.

Not good, I booked and paid a month prior to our stay. I requested a room on the first floor (due to health issues) and a room for 3 adults. I was told no problem. In past stays there were rooms with a sofa that made into a bed and I told them the room I wanted with a small terrace. (Which I had stayed in before). When I arrived I was told my room was on the second floor and they said they don’t have a sofa that makes into a bed. I had no choice but to get a second room….and that was on the second floor. My hotel cost was originally $1800 now ended costing me over &3000. Not a good start for my stay in Carmel! They said I booked through ******* and I told them I was told when I called I was talking to the hotel. Not a good partnership and not customer friendly or helpful.

The Wayside is located within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, bars, wine tasting rooms, and the Sunset Center. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff is very good, and check-in was efficient and friendly. Room was very clean with nice amenities. Only drawback was our room (12) was a bit noisy very early in the morning due to delivery truck traffic and the hotel office and lobby are right below. We'd stay again if we had a different room.
