Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel

This was a great trip! Our keys didn’t work at one point, but the front desk lady was so nice and helpful and got everything fixed!

To start the receptionist checking me in completely disheveled and unprofessional, looked like she rolled out of bed. The place was not even 25% occupied and refused to put me in the room facing the view I wanted. Then to get your room cleaned you need to call the night before, not same day even earlier. The only person that cared was the manager, not sure why his staff isn't fired, and new caring people hired. Also, the TV wasn't properly working and many channels were fuzzy.

This is my go to hotel when I come to Carmel!

The price includes a breakfast option. However, I was told by the receptionist breakfast was extra. Apparently they didn't include it on the price I paid. Everything else was very good

Encountered the most unfriendly, unhelpful staff at this hotel ever. The general attitude just felt like the travelers / guests are an inconvenience to the hotel staff. After a red-eye flight with a layover, we hoped to (1) store our luggage (2 suitcases) before check-in and (2) get an early check-in time. The lady at the front desk begrudging let us store our suitcases practically rolling her eyes at us and informed us that check-in time is 4pm and there could be probably be no early check-in but we could check back after 1pm. So, off we went to explore the area. Just plain exhausted we returned around 2pm to maybe ask and hope for some chance of an early check-in. A different front desk lady told us no early check-in. So, we waited and relaxed the best we could in the lobby lounge area within easy eyesight of the front desk in the small lobby area. Other groups came in and were allowed to check-in around 3:30, but the front desk lady never approached us exhausted travelers to let us know that we could now check-in. Just before 4pm I went back and asked and she went through the process of checking us in barely saying 2 words to us. It was just weird. Most unwelcoming check-in process I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. She told us breakfast was available for purchase in the morning & the hours available. Went down in the morning for coffee and it seemed that the front desk person was also covering the coffee / meager breakfast options and it was just more inconvenience. Encountered different staff at the front desk through our 2 night stay and all were equally unhelpful. Room was okay. Refrigerator was very small. Would not recommend this hotel for a stay in Indianapolis area.

The Sonesta Select is not a four star hotel. The private bedroom furniture was dirty and worn out. They didn't clean my room and didn't they give us clean towels.The manager and staff was very rude. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. The room rates are too high for the quality of service that you receive. The best part of the room was the wall paper and picture.
