Walking distance. Very comfortable and clean.

Really quiet area in a valley surrounded by mountains , nice little hot tub, clean linens and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and if you’re planning on just having a place to sleep this is a great place for the price.

For a one or two night stay this is adequate. I was staying just one night (Thursday) after a 6-7 hour drive up to Carmel Valley from Ventura County. I reserved a queen bed room but was upgraded at no extra charge to a king room behind door #1. Size of room is nice and the furniture, fridge and coffee maker a nice touch. The shower stall is very tight and if you are a large or oversized person you will find it difficult to maneuver in there. While the room was upgraded, the bathroom was not. Lots of storage for clothing and personal items. No hair dryer, pen and paper, locking safe in the room. Thin walls between my room and the next. A crying, fussing baby could be heard through my earplugs in the wee hours of the morning. I did enjoy the hot tub to myself before showering and going to sleep early the night I stayed. Complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning were very good. The inn is within walking distance to many shops and eateries in Carmel Valley Village. This was nice after spending so much time in the car prior to my arrival.

Staff and service are great. Miriam was very welcoming and helpful. We definitely want to plan to stay again.

The Contenta is conveniently located to multiple wineries within walking distance and Carmel Valley Village. We loved the retro 60's atmosphere and the Inn's manager was very welcoming. She troubleshooted a situation for us and was very gracious. We will definitely return. But next time, we'll bring friends.

Convenient Clean and safe

Great little motel in Carmel Valley! Not far from our favorite places, nice place to escape and relax at the end of the day!

We enjoyed the comfortable King size bed, and I liked the bench at the the foot of the bed. I was especially happy with the quiet AC/Heater with a remote control. The room and bath were clean and roomy, as was the closet. The Inn is close to restaurants, but off the main road so it was very quiet. The pool and patio looked inviting - and directly accessible from our room. If the weather was a little warmer, the nice little patio outside our door would have been a perfect place to relax. If we are in the area again, we will be happy to stay at the Contenta Inn again.
