Amazing property! Beautiful scenery. Loved the hot tub! Can’t wait to come back!

After not being able to take a vacation for almost 2 years due to COVID, this was a very welcome retreat. The ambiance and serenity was exactly what was needed. We took the Introduction to Horseback Riding. Since it had been over 40 years since I've been on a horse, I was a bit anxious, but our guide / instructor made it extremely comfortable. and relaxing. After our 2 hour lesson (which felt like less than an hour), we relaxed in the hot tub. Evenings were spend picking apples and feeding them to the horses in the pasture and sitting on the deck of our cabin staring at the breathtaking sunset over Eagle Lake. Were hoping to sit around the outdoor fire pit, but with the winds that came up, and the dry summer we had, it wouldn't have been the best idea. The attention to detail in the decor and the absolutely delicious 2 course breakfasts (scheduled with us for the time we wanted to eat) helped to make it a trip to remember. The only down side was the 2 nights we booked weren't enough, i would truly like to thank Terri and Marv for being our hosts and look forward to booking there again.

We spent 4 nights of relaxing bliss in the Bunk House. Our hosts Kara and Ryan were so welcoming and ready to make our experience a great one! Our accomodation was perfectly luxurious, clean, cozy, contained everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and we also enjoyed a camp fire at night where we met our neighbours in the Hitching Post cabin. We especially enjoyed the horses in the pasture at our front door and also the donkey,pony, goats, and of course Buddy the very enthusiastic puppy that makes everyone feel loved! We did some great day trips from the ranch but made sure to save our last day to enjoy the sanctuary of the Rocking R before for flying home! We also enjoyed the Wine Down Wednesday special culinary event with a lovely meal prepared by chef Easton! Will definitely return to this gorgeous place of peace on earth! Note: Next time we will do the horseback ride in the foothills!

My better half and I spent my birthday weekend at the Rocking R Guest Ranch. Absolutely loved it. Kara and Ryan are excellent hosts. Checkin was smooth despite the frigid cold. The Bunkhouse, where we stayed, is quaint and cozy and well equipped. My favourite feature is the wood stove which we had going most of our two day stay. The breakfast, delivered to our cabin every morning was delicious. Eggs Benny and French toast. And always with a smile from Kara. The views from the ranch are extraordinary and our last night we had the best sunset we have seen in a long time. The ranch offers extras including massages, which we took in, and sleigh rides (too cold) to name two. We loved it so much we have already reserved my next birthday weekend. #rockinrguestranch

Terri & Marv deserve every accolade given to them. A sweeter, kinder couple you'll never find, and they truly share a huge part of themselves with their guests. From Terri's remembering to "save" me some rhubarb pie (delicious) to Marv's super patience with me on my ride/walk....putting their guests first is what they do over and over again. The amazing breakfasts, the sweet cabin and the beautiful property all combine for an experience that is second to none. Honestly, we arrived as strangers, but left feeling like we'd gained new friends. Lucky us. :)

This was our second time staying at this beautiful and peaceful retreat. Private accommodation, serene a**osphere, and friendly hosts. Even though we had temps in the -20's, we still found enough things to enjoy our time there. Highly recommended a snowshoe hike around the property. We will be back again!

A stay at the ranch was beyond expectations. We booked both cottages for a family weekend celebration and were treated royally. Terri and Marvin were wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were included and we decided to book a special dinner for the Saturday night and we were not disappointed; the food was wonderful and service was exceptional as each of the 3 courses were served to your cottage (same with breakfast) and dishes were removed, you didn’t have to lift a finger. If I ever win the lotto, I’m hiring Terri as my personal chef. Cottages are well laid out with no expense spared and both have wood burning fireplaces. Imagine sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, looking out of the window to horses grazing in the field in front of you, overlooking Eagle lake towards the mountains. Now that’s what I call relaxation. Thank you Terri and Marvin for a wonderful weekend.
