Courtyard Carson City

I just stayed 2 nights for work, and really enjoyed the property. We were on the ground floor with balcony, and my back sliding-glass door led you out behind the hotel, out to an enclosed courtyard. I thought it was really nice, well-maintained, quiet and safe. I never saw another person in back and I really ended up enjoying that area. We changed up one of our meets, and had it out back there, and was perfect. Room is clean quiet cozy safe and I am maybe 12 steps out door to my car, which rocks. I used their laundry, was great. The best part were the people, I was checked in by a (I believe he was British) very courteous, professional gentleman; then I ended up talking briefly to your 3rd shift ladies, both really sweet and hooked me up with plastic utensils. Stella at Bistro was so great btw too. She made my dinner and was so thoughtful about it. She is one of those people who isn’t afraid to communicate, and smile and joke. We need more of that in this world. But anyway I gotta say, freakin close parking A+, room with sofa A+, sweet outdoor private (almost) backyard A+, fridge that stays on 24/7 A+, safe quiet but stocked location with stores/restaurants A+, and the entire staff A+, I highly recommend this wonderful hotel in this very nice town.

Hotel is great, staff is very good. GM is as I would consider a very arrogant and unfriendly person. My travel plans changed and upon arrival Monday I tried to notify the desk I needed to depart a day early. Ironically they said they didn't accept early departures and I would be billed for a full night's stay if I departed early. Unfortunately I had already booked a night at another Marriott property. I asked the GM nicely and commented I was even here with 4 other coworkers who were staying the full week. He said and I quote, it's a company policy at this location and I will charge you for a full night stay. We'll in my opinion as a business traveler our itenaraires can change on a dime and for the last 23 years IHG has NEVER not accommodated and adjustment in my schedule. I called the other hotel I booked and amazing as this may sound they fully understood that I could not stay at their location and they cancelledmy booking with no charge. When I spoke to the GM at the hotel that cancelled my night they were appaled that the GM in Carson City would not accommodate my early departure. They apologized profusely and were very nice. LET ME SAY THIS, IF I EVER HAVE TO RETURN TO CARSON CITY NV AGAIN FOR BUSINESS I WOULD SLEEP IN A TENT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE I WOULD STAY AT 5HKS HOTEL. THIS WAS A PATHETIC COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. A VERY DISSATISFIED GOLD MEMBER!!!

I booked my reservation through *******. When I arrived, the desk clerk had no reservation listed :(. I had my confirmation receipt, so that was solved. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner :( Not what I expected from Marriott. :(

nice clean rooms, couches a little uncomfortable, front desk no one there upon initial check in, also no coffee in the morning, in common area, ia the shower water temp control faucet handle was old n wornout had to fiddle with handle to get right water temp.

I stayed in this hotel years ago when visiting my mom. I remember it being very nice. Sadly, the rooms are no longer like they used to be. I have stayed here twice this month because my mom in the hospital. My first room smelled stale and moldy. the furniture was stained. I have pictures. The second stay the furniture was not stained but both mine and my sister's room have that horrible mostly smell. We realized the bathrooms do not have fans. There are open vents but no active suction. It seems the rooms have just been allowed to get damp and musty. you can see ceiling painting and repair and bubbling from moisture. Beds are super mediocre, cheap sheets and pillows But clean. The lobby is very nice and clean and a pleasant place to hang out and work which keeps the place from getting one star. I informed the front desk of the issues. I was told that the hotel was getting remodeled. It's a shame. Will most likely get an airbnb next time. This used to be the nicest hotel in Carson City.

It was nice place

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the comfort of the room and bathroom. The shower was great and i appreciated having 4 pillows on the bed. I will definitely come back to stay again.
