I wouldn’t look past this hotel. It’s in an ideal position. The style of the decor is more traditional and maintained to a high standard. It has a great staff excellent buffet breakfast continually refreshed and hot. It offers excellent bar food for lunch and evenings, at pool bar or hotel bar. This isn’t a problem if you prefer more formal dining as leave hotel and choose left or right. It’s adjacent to the best restaurants in town. It doesn’t have the high gloss impersonal feeling of some other more expensive hotels but offers a more intimate friendly experience.

We had a great weeks holiday hotel staff very friendly nothing to much trouble breakfast was excellent pool bar drinks and food very well priced and good quality excellent location for bars and eating booked again for the same time next year very happy stay

If you want a nice quiet holiday, particularly on a wednesday afternoon, dont go to this hotel. They play very loud intrusive music on wednesday afternoons for nearly four hours. The **** of a manager has no care for customers. Its his opinion that counts!

The breakfast was great, and the staff were brilliant,so helpful and seemed happy in their jobs.Unfortunately the hotel could do with a good refurb,the outside of the building looked tired and needs a lick of paint,the cleaning was a bit hit and miss some days were ok some days even the bins were not emptied.I think they make the pool area and the reception look good and the rest of the hotel just average, the holiday itself was enjoyable enough but a bit tiring walking up and down the hill especially when it got hot.Not really ideal for the older generation.

Beautiful welcoming hotel. Staff most helpful. Room immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed. Maids visited every day and left clean fluffy towels and a well-made bed. Nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast each morning was delicious and the choice of food was excellent - once again the staff were most helpful, pleasant and very hard working! We really enjoyed our stay and the weather was amazing all week!

Massive bait and switch situation here. There’s not a single picture they posted that doesn’t have an ocean view from a room with a balcony. So we booked a balcony room thinking it would be an ocean view. Wrong. View of a concrete wall with a few palm trees. The room was also incredibly small, unlike the pictures. I’m a petite person and could barely get in the bathroom because the door doesn’t open all the way, it hit the bidet. Very dated furniture. I might have been able to forgive all this for a comfortable bed, but it was hard as a rock and therefore the last straw to a very disappointing stay. The breakfast was ok, although it was obvious most of the fruit came from cans. Not great customer service overall, staff was talking amongst themselves during check in, didn’t tell us the time for breakfast or any other pertinent information about amenities. Didn’t offer to help us with luggage even though we had a baby. It’s a good location but not worth all the negatives we experienced. Would not stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The position is great so close to bars and restaurants although quiet because step back from the road the whole of The down downstairs floor …reception and dining room have been refurbished in really beautiful light coloured furniture and soft seating areas very inviting ..the bar area is lovely, nice to come home for a nightcap or a sunset drink served by Hiolando he is a great bowman always ready with a smile Breakfast was great so much choice in such a nice dining area as well. The hot food was replaced all the time very quickly and the cold buffet including fruit and cereals pastries were wonderful lots of choice. Great breakfast no complaints. Apparently all the rooms will be refurbished by next year having said that our room was adequate very very clean nice crisp white bedding changed every day clean towels every day but please take your own hairdryer and a travel kettle as no tea making facilities in the room and the hairdryer they supply is ridiculous The pool area was very nice large pool although in May very cold lots of sunbeds although close together the bar area serves snacks and sandwiches made to order and cocktails also made order very good service and a good price considering it’s a hotel. If you don’t have a car then there is a bus stop at the Square great timetable takes you to Feragudo and Alvor well worth a visit as beaches and restaurants in both places are great I would most definitely recommend this hotel and I would return to it myself.
