Hotel Valle del Oja

The hotel with charm and well located. It is a hotel with few rooms, spacious and clean. The staff is very attentive, breakfast very good. Value for money is excellent. We will repeat without a doubt.

The Valle de Oja hotel unilaterally canceled our reservation. In reality, as we could see, they were closed. Five days before they asked us to do a pre-check-in. It is something infrequent, but we complete it (we receive acknowledgment of receipt). The day before, at 2:42 p.m., we received notice that our card could not be processed, which is not true. It was a maneuver. We showed up at the hotel at 1:50 p.m. (before the 24-hour deadline given), and found it closed with a note “we open at 4 p.m.” We went to walk around Haro and eat, and when we returned, it was still closed. Just before, 24 hours after the notice, the reservation was cancelled, even though we were physically there! On the other hand, the agreed payment was at the hotel, so it was not appropriate to charge the card until the service was provided to us. We called them by phone, and they told us that they had no record of our reservation (and pre-check-in?). When we insisted, they told us that the fault was not theirs, but Booking's. We explained that we were at the door of the hotel, and asked if they could accommodate us, to which they said they did not have our reservation. At no time did they try to help us, just evasive. The hotel, on the other hand, is a lonely mansion in an unattractive wasteland, which does not correspond to the idyllic photo they publish. Luckily we were able to stay in Haro, thus getting out of trouble.

Hemos estado la noche del 15 de octubre. La habitación se encontraba en la primera planta, la 5. Estaba limpia, el colchón y almohadas comodísimas. El desayuno, si es verdad que podría ser un poco más abundante. En la mesa había un croissant, y te traían un zumo de naranja. Fiambre, solo jamón cocido y queso; pan de molde, pan de barra, cereales y creo que sólido nada más. El café estaba rico. El personal muy atento. Nosotros lo hemos encontrado muy correcto, volveríamos seguro.

Excellent accommodation in a quiet place that helps you disconnect. The master of the house is very kind and attentive. It has a pool without hours, to cool off at any time. Homemade and very good breakfast. The truth is that it is a place to return to.

Las dos estrellas se las doy al trato recibido por el dueño que fue muy correcto y colaborativo. Es un edificio bonito y bien cuidado por fuera. Renovado y descuidado en limpieza por dentro, sobre todo el baño (la tapa del inodoro rota). El desayuno, bueno....ya habiamos quedado con el señor en que nos dejaria el desayuno hecho y sin hora porque el no iba a estar, un gran detalle por su parte. Lo que habiamos pedído, zumo, pan para tostar y cafe. El pan escaso, tres rebanadas para dos, tal vez lo comieran los que fueron por delante?. La piscina penosa, muy muy sucia. Mejor no tener piscina.

Llamamos a las 9h. de la mañana para informar que por causa de fuerza mayor (COVID) teníamos que anular la habitación de esa noche (98€), nos dijo que al haberlo hecho a través de Booking, no dependía del hotel, sino de Booking. Hablamos con atención al cliente de Booking y nos reenviaron la petición de cancelación al hotel, es decir, la decisión era del hotel. Pues bien, nos han cargado los 98 €, le he vuelto a llamar (al del hotel) y tiene la caradura de seguir echando balones fuera con los de Booking.

Lo más positivo es la tranquilidad y la intimidad que te ofrece, las habitaciones en general bien al igual que el desayuno bastante correcto, falta aire acondicionado en la habitación, una nevera también sería oportuno y una mesita. Camas cómodas y silencio absoluto

Me pareció atractivo por fuera, pero un tanto decepcionante por el precio ya que es mejorable en cuanto a confort. No dan cenas, desayuno aceptable y trato normal. Tuvimos dificultades con el agua caliente y se echan de menos elementos de decoración en baño y ha habitación. El jardín desordenado y piscina idem.
