I honestly don't think there are words to express how magical DDG Retreat is! If you are looking for a secluded, beautiful, super romantic get away for you and your other half in the south of Spain, please look no further. The accommodation is so secluded and intimate, the communal pool (only shared with one other room) is beautiful. The views are out of this world. And Daria and her family are so welcoming, friendly, lovely, and do everything they can to ensure you have the best time, you will feel like you have made friends for life. The only point of note is - the platters are huuuge so be careful not to over order. šŸ˜„ Also, one night is not enough, so don't make the same mistake we did, and book at least two nights. I guarantee you will not regret it ā¤ļø

We had big expertations going at this adult only place, expensive but luxury at a high level, we thought. Some days before our arrival we had conversation with the place, and found our that we were not able to get breakfast served. The only serving was four different platters for 29ā‚¬, fish, cheese, fruit and meat, all nothing that could do it as a meal. We would have acces to a kitchen, and could make our own meals. This was very suprising as we were not expecting to go on camping with own cooking but luxury retreat getting spoiled. Dinners could be at local restaurants, fair enough, but as we were out of season all restaurants were closed on sundays. We went 30 min by car to a nearby town and found a good place to dine. The first night we had a intense storm, power broke down and the same did the heat and water. In the morning we were stood up to a very cold House and got served the 29ā‚¬ fruit platter as we ordered, We sat indoor in app 15 degrees, freezing eating tropical fruit. Quite comic and we had a great laugh about the situation. As we could see that the comming days it could continue as started and be full of expertation not meet. This should have been a pampered experience and could se in the pattern that this would continue. We decided to leave the place and the 4xā‚¬445 prepaid nights to be sure not to ruin the vacation. We had some wonderful days in Vinci hotel Malaga for a very fair price and premium service.

Me and my husband went on our 20th anniversary first stop to this lovely retreat, I was extremely excited because it was a surprise for him. The access to the place is kind of scary but once we made it up there everything was beautiful and it was worthy. Thereā€™s plenty of nice details everywhere that make the place very special. The problem is that the hostess informed us there had been a problem with electricity that day and the gorgeous room was pretty much an oven, not a room any more. We were a little hungry so we asked for a meat platter, not worthy at all, 29ā‚¬ for it, we didnā€™t eat it cause it wasnā€™t so fresh after 5 min in that oven. We decided to get in the little pool because it was impossible to take a nap as the ac wouldnā€™t cool the room down at all ( electricity came back eventually). The infinity pool is amazing, a little piece of a paradise, I really enjoyed that. Then we went to have dinner at the outstanding restaurant Sarmiento, delicious food and a great view of the town. Minibar was complementary (water, coke, 7up and tonic) and we had a bottle of cava upon arrival, for the price of the retreat I would expect nothing less. I have to say I was a little disappointed with our stay because for the price I paid I wanted everything perfect, the hostess kept on apologizing because obviously there was nothing she could do but at the same time it wasnā€™t my fault either and I couldnā€™t fully enjoy my relaxing day. The day we left she asked us to leave the money for the meat platter on the table and opened the gate from the far. It would have been nice to have paid her for the platter in person. Even though my experience wasnā€™t the best, Iā€™m pretty sure anyone would enjoy that peace and quiet any time. I think there would be an extra if they had somebody a couple of hours at the bar of the pool serving cocktails šŸ˜‰that would make the experience go up a level. Otherwise itā€™s a nice expensive rural house.

If you had to describe paradise, then the Casa Pino suite at the DDG retreat is very close. This private, secluded accommodation is the ideal location for a very relaxing holiday. The views are spectacular. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. Outside there is your own plunge pool, table and chairs plus a sun bed where you can relax. There is even a bath in the garden. Casa Pino shares a well-equipped gym and a stunning infinity pool with one other suite. You can order a very relaxing massage and three different plentiful platters if you are feeling hungry. My only word of advice is that private, and seclusion also means remote. I would strongly recommend that you take a car so you can eat at the superb local restaurants and visit the local towns. Finally, the owner Daria is a wonderful host (ably supported by her family). She is so well organised and helpful that you will have to travel a long way to find a better hostess! Thank you, Daria, for a remarkable memorable holiday.

To breathe the clean, fresh air ... To watch the sky change colour so majestically at both ends of the day... To lie in a bed so wide all your animal managere can lie with you... To swim in a beautifully clear pool surrounded by nature at its purest... To listen to the cry of the hawks circling overhead in a breathing crystal type of sky... To indulge in long moments of utter relaxation listening to the subtle unmistakable tone of ibiza chill out... To shower inflagrante with the warm air circulating neither regions... To experience the sheer delight of slipping into a body of private water at 3 in the morning that is so delicious it's almost a sin... To hold and be held by someone who brought you to a place of such care and attention to detail after detail after detail... Theses are a few of my favourite things... To experience is to be eternally grateful for the love in this world..... Experience for yourself...everyone deserves šŸ’š
