Uns hat es letztes Jahr so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich nocheinmal "Fortaleza" samt Atlantik genießen wollten - nur etwas länger! Ein freundschaftlicher Empfang erwartete uns am Anreisetag - als gefühlte Freunde des gesamten "Fortaleza" reisten wir wieder ab! Erneut war unser gesamter Aufenthalt einfach traumhaft schön und wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Wir genossen ausgiebig die wunderbare Küche von Gil Fernandes und seinem Team, sowohl im "Spot" (am liebsten auf der Terrrasse bis die Sonne unterging!), als auch im Gourmetrestaurante. Das überaus nette und freundliche Personal an der Rezeption und des gesamten Seviceteams ist hervorzuheben! Man fühlt sich bestens umsorgt und verstanden, trotz der wenigen Worte Portugiesich unsererseits... Wer die Natur an der Linha de Cascais in vollen Zügen erleben möchte (fantastische Sonnenuntergänge, Atlantik pur, Spaziergänge über Felsklippen mit atemberaubender Aussicht, etc.) und eine vorzügliche Küche direkt im Hotel zu schätzen weiß, ist hier am richtigen Ort! Und wieder war der Aufenthalt natürlich v i e l zu kurz, denn es wird einem niemals langweilig! Wir sind sehr dankbar für all das Erlebte und kommen gerne jederzeit wieder...

Wir waren zwei Nächte in diesem wunderbaren Hotel in einer absoluten Traum Laage zwischen zwei Stränden. Man schaut durch das Fenster auf den tosenden Ozean. Viele Surfer. Sehr komfortable Zimmer, schöne Aufenthaltsräume, perfekter Service auf fünf Sterne Niveau. Wir waren absolut zufrieden. Das Hotel hat zwei Restaurants, das normale ist schon sehr gut. Ich würde sagen zwischen Bib Gourmand und ein Sterne Restaurant angesiedelt. Das Hauptrestaurant mit einem Michelin Stern ist ein Erlebnis. Schon das „ kleine“ Menü für 145 € ist mehr wie ausreichend mit den ganzen Zusatz a2 kamen wir auf neun Gänge und waren Pump satt, aber jeder Gang war geschmacklich und optisch hervorragend. Das Essen wurde auch bestens präsentiert und von den Kellnern erklärt. Ich finde, besser geht es nicht. Das Restaurant hat bestimmt zwei Sterne verdient!!!! Die Weinkarte ist überaus umfangreich von günstigen portugiesischen Wein ab 30 € bis zu teuren Franzosen für 9000 €. Das sind aber eher Prestigeweine, die dann Madonna trinkt, die auch hier einkehrt und sie gerne mit Sprite oder Cola mischt…. vermischt…..

This was such a beautiful hotel and located in the beach at Guincho. The room was stunning with and amazing ceiling. The balcony over looked a crashing sea. The place was an old fortress and still kept a lot of the design. Everything was spot on and the only word to describe it was total 'class'. Near Sintra Castle.

This has got to be one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. The views are incredible, the breakfast buffet is amazing and most of all the staff are one of the nicest people you’ll meet. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re well taken care of. Truly a 5 star experience and we’ll be sure to come back here in the future without a doubt.
