Hotels Near Tower of Santo Antonio de Cascais in Cascais

We stayed for 11 nights in room 98, a ground floor room opening onto the swimming pool. It had a bath with a powerful shower and good temperature. The bed was enormous and comfortable, and the air conditioning was very good. I think there are only two ground floor rooms, 98 and 96. 96 next to us, has a walk in shower and no bath. The staff were very friendly and efficient, but a stand out waitress was Catia: always smiling and went the extra mile to enrich our experience and all other guests. We had dinner in the restaurant 3 times. We got the impression, the menu did not change and although good quality, it was quite expensive compared to the local restaurants. We had lunch on the bar terrace every day bar one and it was excellent with many choices. We had a very enjoyable stay and would come again. One small quibble was that waiter service around the pool was erratic. Many times I had to go to the bar to order drinks. The waiters did not patrol the pool area as often as we would have liked. Also, used glasses were not cleared away in a timely manner. One bit of excitement, The couple in room 96 next to ours were well known actors. We sat on loungers next to them for 7 days along with another UK couple. Sadly, although my wife thought she recognised the lady next door she thought she may have been a dancer, not a film and TV star. We had long conversations about restaurants and where to go in Cascais. It was only after they had left, the other couple told us who the actors were. And no, I am not going to tell you who they are. At one point my wife asked the husband if she could ask a question about his wife. Looking back, he looked a bit perturbed. Was she going to ask about the actors the wife had worked with, ask for a selfie, quiz her on Hollywood or TV programs she had been in? But no, my wife asked him if his wife had ever been a dancer? The look on his face was of relief. She doesn't know who we are; we can just have a normal relationship. (His wife did ballet at school). Great stay, thank you Hotel Albatroz.

The hotel is overall ok, but my experience is really controversial. Pros: Good value for money. The location is quite central. Clean rooms. Live music at the rest zone near the reception from time to time. Cons: Cleaning process is ruining the perception. No logic, no exact timing, they can even enter the room with a sign ”no disturb” on the door. Sound proof is poor, so all external noises can be easily heard. The reception people could be more friendly (smiling and saying ”hello” to customers when an eye contact is happening). I haven't yet tried the breakfast.

Beautifully located, ultra-modern facilities, friendly staff, the only downside is the busy and noisy road between the hotel and the sea...

O Hotel está muito bem localizado, bem arrumado e os quartos são de um tamanho ótimo. O pequeno almoço está bom para o conceito de um boutique hotel. Apenas dou 4 na limpeza, não é porque o quarto não estava limpo, ele estava bem limpo, mas apanhei alguns bicharocos a passearem, como uma lesma e uma aranha com tamanho simpático que era residente no wc. Mas adorei e voltarei 🥂

This resort was exactly as described. Full, private units that include bedroom, living room, private outdoor space, kitchen, bathroom and eating area. Plenty of storage and lots of space. We didn't end up needing it but there was free parking available with the unit. Temperatures were cool when we visited, but the pool looked like it would be very inviting on a hot summer day. Very quaint resort, quiet and clean. Pedro at the front desk was awesome and helped get us sorted when we arrived at the resort before check-in. Seamless at storing our bags and had a nice little cafe with delicious pastries which we had while we waited. Thank you for the great stay! I highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

This was our third time to come here, and our second time to stay as hotel guests, and it was a memorable, delicious visit just like the previous ones. While we were in Spain on a trip through Andalusia, a Portuguese friend told us he was having a birthday party in Lisbon. After consulting the itinerary, we canceled one night in Spain, drove from Cordoba to Lisbon, went to our friend's party, spent the night here at this hotel, and drove to Seville, Spain the day after our friend's party. Yes, it was a lot of driving, but it's not every day we get invited to a Portuguese birthday party and are able to attend. We did not have dinner here as we have in the past, but the room we got was by far the nicest one on this entire 10-day Iberian trip. The room was large, modern, with a huge window overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Guincho Beach. The bed was firm, as is the custom in Europe, comfortable, with immaculately clean linens. The bathroom was spotless and modern too, and the walk-in shower was perfect. After we checked in, we took a walk around the hotel remembering the previous memorable times we've spent here and were pleased to see the owner, Toni, in the bar. He stood up, warmly welcomed us, remembered us from earlier visits (February, 2023 and 2022), and asked about us, our family, and why we were in Lisbon. The gentleman is about 94 years old and still works at his family's hotel-restaurant every day. Such friendly hospitality is sorely lacking in the travel industry, and we love his personal touch. Breakfast the next morning was filling and tasty: a large assortment of breads, pastries, eggs, meats, fresh fruits, and cereals with plenty of coffee, milk, juices, and water. We especially enjoyed the Palmier cookies! Having breakfast at a table overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is a fabulous way to start any day. While we were not expecting to stay here this year, we were delighted to have been able to and see Mr. Toni again. If this outstanding level of customer service appeals to you, this could be your new favorite place to stay.

A nice, quiet place to stay just outside Lisbon (in the Porto Salvo area). We had a full-size bed with a couch, desk for working, and cable tv (the English channels begin at 200 - CNN, BBC, etc, plus movie channels). The breakfast spread was tasty and filling - coffee machine (8 different self-serve options), fruit juices, pastries, make yourself pancakes, fruit, and sliced meat. There is a Lidl supermarket next door and the Oeires Parque mall is a 15-minute walk away. We used a taxi and Uber to get around, and the Paco de Arcos train station was a short ride over to get into Lisbon. The staff (with the exception of a few of the house keepers) all spoke English and were friendly and helpful. If you are in Lisbon for more than a few days and looking for an economical hotel, then highly recommend!

Myself and my 4 year old son stayed here for a weekend, and it was fantastic! We received excellent communication from the front desk via email as we arrived after check in, which meant we could get straight up to our room upon arrival. It's in a great location, and has modern, clean, fresh décor and super friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and A/C. There was plenty of extra bedding in the cupboards too which meant you could change the sheet for a duvet if the weather suddenly changed. The breakfast was a good price, and great continental selection; my son ate everything in sight, and they even went above and beyond to make him pancakes as a treat! There was an honesty bar available throughout the day too for any quick snacks or drinks which was reasonably priced. There's a local grocery shop, pharmacy, café and restaurants all 5mins walk away too which is so useful when travelling with children. Sintra itself was beautiful, my son loved the views, visiting Quinta da Regaleira and spotting the 'castles!' on top of the hills. Do be aware Sintra has a micro climate so the weather can be breezy and cooler than expected! This is a rather elegant Pousada which is managed by the Pestana Hotel chain. Checking in at Reception was painless and swift. The staff generally were pleasant and friendly. Our bedroom was on the ground floor overlooking the car park. We needed to keep the windows closed for security and the curtains closed for privacy. The bedroom was pleasantly furnished and in good condition. The bed was king size and very comfy. There was plenty of hanging space for clothing The size of the room left very little space to conveniently store suitcases. The room was equipped with a refrigerator but no mini bar. There was also a television which as far as I could tell only had Portuguese programs. I could not find any English language programs. This did not really a problem because I was staying at this hotel for a limited time and did not want to watch TV. The bathroom was en suite with both a bath and a shower. The bath was useless because it did not have a bath plug and the hotel staff were unable to find a bath plug for me. There was plenty of tepid warm water for washing. However you need to have patience to have hot water. Hot water took a lifetime before it reached our room Our bedroom must have been some distance from the boiler because other guests did not suffer the same problem. A lot of water was wasted while waiting for the hot water. This was not a good way to “Save the Planet” as instructed by a sign / notice on display in the bathroom from the hotel management. The plug in the wash hand basin did not work properly. As you will realise having a wash in this hotel was a bit of an ordeal. Buffet breakfast had lots to chose from with a choice hot and cold dishes. The Lounge bar is comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Apart from the lack of bath plugs, the hotel is in good condition and decorative order.

Very poor breakfast, disappointed with the quality of it. For example it was the first time I saw in a hotel (Ibis included) open butter for everyone to share, and not individual packs, not hygienic at all. I only took breakfast the first day, so I ask for a refund which the hotel refused... nothing more to say about that. About all the rest, was okay: all staff was great, kind and professional and the room clean and bed very comfortable.
