Servotel Castagniers

On a group visit to the Nice hinterland, we stayed 5 nights in this family hotel. Decent room, clean, separate toilet, very comfortable bedding. Quiet hotel despite its proximity to the national road. Friendly staff. Varied and copious breakfast buffet (pastries, cold meats, cereals, dairy products, fruits, etc.). We ate in the evening at the hotel restaurant Le Servella, 150m away. Magnificent place, excellent food. Thanks to Mathilde for her kindness and good humor from Normandy. My only regret was not being able to use the swimming pool because of the storm (red alert). I recommend this establishment.

Good welcome and friendly staff. Well located close to shopping area by car. Pleasant swimming pool. Clean room with access to a small shaded terrace.

Very pleasant stay

Very dirty and old room, hairdryer didn't work, there weren't enough towels for 3 guests and when I asked at reception I received 2 face towels for the third person and none for the bath! Very dirty room had clearly not been cleaned before our check-in (no vacuum cleaner on the carpet), bathroom extremely smelly and old, with a strong smell of sewage. Plastic curtain in the shower and during the shower the entire bathroom is flooded. We chose this hotel because we would like to relax inside the hotel and theoretically it would be possible in this hotel, as there was a restaurant (well praised on the website) as well as pizza options. When asking to reserve the restaurant at reception we were faced with 1 more big disappoin**ent: the restaurant is closed and the pizzas, which would be available to order in the room, were not available (none of them, no flavor). No food options in the hotel! We had to make a reservation at one of the few restaurants that still had space at that time. Receptionist doesn't speak 1 word of English and when asking to change our room she said that we would have to change immediately or we wouldn't be able to change anymore (it was 8:15 at night and we were late leaving for a dinner reservation) and we had to pack the suitcases and changing rooms quickly. When checking out, the hotel's stamp of unpreparedness: a surprise fee was charged, which we were never notified of! When booking through booking the information was that all taxes and fees were included in the price. When arguing with reception, the lady replied that all taxes and fees included in the price were related to the use of TV and internet (????) but that they were not hotel fees. Absurd! Avoid this hotel as much as possible! The decorated reception is deceiving… the rooms are decadent, old and dirty!

Family hotel that I recommend, the welcome is warm and the staff are very attentive and helpful. The air conditioning in our room did not work well, we immediately had another room available. The bedding is very comfortable with multiple pillows available. Good value for money.

Magnificent stay in this hotel. Attentive staff, very friendly without exception. Restaurant with rooms where you can hold evenings, seminars or even a wedding, we ate very well there. We were very well received, honestly the hotel is great, it has everything you need, for a 3 star it is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time. The hotel has a swimming pool, it’s super cool. It's top class
