Cannot fault this hotel. I work in the hospitality industry and have travelled the world. This property has the most amazing staff who are some of the most accommodating I have ever encountered. I even had the most amazing breakfast. Subrato and his team really deserve credit for their unbelievably friendly "can do" attitude. Cannot recommend "le pommier" highly enough for a stay on Guernsey. Top class.

Amazing restaurant with wonderful food especially the Ribeye steak and Affogato that I had it's perfectly cooked and presented. The service was par excellence, with attentive and accommodating staff specially Rachel who really know the true meaning of customer care and service. The ambience was peaceful and relaxing and it really is worth a visit, will certainly be back!

What a lovely hotel, with charming staff, clean fresh rooms and delicious food. We arrived very late owing to a late flight- the receptionist kept in contact with us and our late night check in was quickly managed. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had a really good meal, which was great value. The room was clean, felt new and was tastefully decorated. It was dark and quiet at night and we slept really well every night in the comfortable bed. The shower was excellent with consistently hot water and good power. The staff are all absolutely charming, always smiling and helpful. We visited in winter so the pool wasn’t open but it looks like a fantastic space and we will return in summer to enjoy all the hotel’s facilities in full!

Guernsey is one of our favourite locations for taking a break and it’s usually September when the Air Show displays in St Peter Port. Over the years we have tried various hotels throughout the island, all have been superb. This year 2023 we decided on trying another and the Le Pommier was without doubt one of the best we have stayed in, so beautifully decorated, and couldn’t fault anything. The room was lovely and well equipped for our four night stay. There was also a mention in the guest book, in the room, that if guests didn’t require their room to be made up every day [for the environment] we would receive a glass of Prosecco each, which we thought was a lovely gesture, and did several times - Evening meals, were delicious, and very filling - The lovely selection of buffet breakfast also delicious followed by a full English breakfast Menu, which was outstanding and were served by friendly professional staff. Equally staff around the Hotel were amazing and always stopped to chat. Reception staff were very helpful, with bus and general enquiries. The hotel is situated close to the beaches and we often walked down to view the sunset. Local buses are great and there are stops close to the hotel. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, however with so many places to visit on the island we unfortunately only used it once. Would definitely recommend this hotel and it will be our future hotel when we return to the island next.

Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at! The whole hotel appeared recently tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean. The staff were brilliant and could not have been more attentive. After the first breakfast I mentioned in passing I missed having toast an marmalde as I am a celiac. Result was that day they bought a toaster dedicated for use with gluten free bread. Can't find anything bad to say, will be returning.

On arrival at reception, I was told that the swimming pool was not available due to a private function. I was really perplexed that a hotel advertising a pool, the presence of which being a key decision-making factor in booking a hotel in a heatwave, was not available to guests at all. This was a terrible start to my holiday. I was boiling hot and sticky from travelling and all I had focused on on the way there was the thought of swimming in the pool. Given that one of the main services and attractions of this hotel was not available. I think we should have been offered a reduction or a meal voucher. Then, I was advised that breakfast was at 7:30 am weekdays, which was of no use to me as I had to leave at 7:30 am. There was no offer of an earlier room service, so I was paying for breakfast, which I couldn’t actually eat. I was also advised that there was no dinner on Sunday. I semi-jokingly said “so, I’ll just get a takeaway in shall I?”. The receptionist laughed nervously, perhaps. I was then told that the kitchen was closed and I won’t be able to have any lunch. I was starving and by this point, I felt like crying. Luckily, a kindly member of staff saw my plight and intervened. I was able to have lunch and it was delicious. Turning to the room, on the plus side, it’s been recently decorated in neutral colours, although the cutting in of the white against the beige wouldn’t pass muster in a basic painting and decorating course. The room is fresh and clean. Best of all there is air-conditioning, which is needed because I can’t open the bedroom window. Well, I can, but my room is overlooking the bins where the staff go out to smoke in the evenings and also stand there chatting and swearing. The glass bin is also right under my window which meant being woken up by bins being emptied. On the downside, there is no room service and no telephone to call reception but as most people have mobile phones, I don’t suppose that is an issue. One thing I think most people, especially women, really did need is a hairdryer. One was provided on asking but of course, I only realised there wasn’t one as I got out of the shower. The room really is super clean. The corridors, not so much. There are stains in the *****ey carpet that could do with a good scrub and professional carpet clean, and there was visible dirt that needed to be hoovered that remained day in and day out so those carpets were not being cleaned in a daily basis. That said, the one redeeming feature that would make me consider going back to this hotel was the awesome staff. I felt that they were undervalued by management and constrained by rules laid down by management. They desperately wanted to do more, to help more, and to meet client needs, but appeared nervous about doing the wrong thing (according to management) which would be the right thing for the client eg provide a picnic breakfast if leaving for a trip before 07:30.

Beautiful hotel, and a great base for exploring Guernsey and the surrounding islands. The rooms are spacious, the bed is soft and very comfortable, however there is no elevator and as the buildings are old, there is a bit of a walk if you have one of the rooms at the end. Surrounded by a lovely garden, with a nice pool, and excellent restaurant this is a lovely place to spend time, but also a great base to discover the rest of the Bailiwick. Buses stop very close to the hotel, but be aware that taxis can be difficult to get on Guernsey, so book in advance! The breakfast menu is extensive and great, the lunch and dinner options are also very good. And when we happened to be really hungry and the restaurant was closed between lunch and dinner, sandwiches appeared as if by magic. This was one of the many instances where the staff of the hotel went the extra mile, and after only a few days, they feel like old friends.

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. It has recently been taken over by new management and the love and care they have clearly put in to this hotel is incredible. The rooms we had were spacious, tranquil and the perfect escape. All the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of this beautiful hotel is the food! The restaurant is very stylish. We had breakfast, dinner and a sunday roast during our stay and every meal was delicious!

From the minute you stepped through the door you were welcomed and looked after. The food was exceeded and service exceptional. The chef came out of the kitchen to ensure all was well. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended. We will be back - thank you.
