This is quite an old fashioned hotel, in a very good way - like the hotels your parents couldn't afford to bring you to when you were a child, if you are a middle-class European. This should be a big plus to many guests, it certainly was to me. I travel a lot these days, stay in a lot of hotels and generally view them with a deeply jaded eye, it's refreshing to find one's cynicism confounded once in a while. My wife and I managed to get ourselves stranded in Bologna, after the last public transport connection to our distant residence in the mountains had been missed. We booked a suite at the last moment, it was very good value, the receptionist spoke English very well and we were treated with courtesy and respect throughout - even though we must have looked like a couple of derelicts after a day walking around in the heat. The bed was comfortable and, although the USB charger took a bit of finding (on the TV) it was definitely there. The water was hot and the whole place was sparkling clean. The old fashioned air conditioning worked, properly, which is unhappily not always the case these days. The breakfast was excellent too. We were called a taxi and went on our way well satisfied. If you're looking for something up to the moment and cutting edge, this is not for you. To me and people like me, it is a breath from an older, better time - shining like a good deed in a naughty world. For the avoidance of doubt, I liked it.

Very good stay in this modern clean hotel. Clever automatic check in for out of hours

I stayed in the hotel during the July heatwave. Hence the best part of the hotel, the garden, was not really usable. The beautiful photos of the grand rooms at the reception level are really misleading. These rooms are not used for anything and are therefore adding little to the value. The worst bit was the room. Although on my own, I actually shared the room (and the bathroom) with the ants (plenty of them). When I arrived at 3 pm at 38C degrees, the fridge in the room was not working because it was unplugged. Basically the adapter was missing (both issues were dealt with after complaints, but issues like this should not arise in a 4* hotel). Note that the power points take in the old fashioned 3-pin Italian plugs and hence you need an adapter regardless of where you live. The bathroom, although clean, smelled of dampness and the shower sewage outlet was getting clogged after just a few minutes. The room, while spacious, felt very, very tired. Nobody has put a lick of paint in it for 50 years or so. Air-con was OK. The staff were a mixed bag. A young lady at the reception was the only one who put a smile on her face. The older members of the stuff looked like they are tired of everything and just waiting for retirement. Having moved from this hotel to the same-chain hotel in Bologna, the differences are to the extreme in every respect. In my mind, the only thing that is 4* in this hotel is the price. Everything else is at best 3* (cannot comment on breakfast, was not having it). On the positive side is the location of the hotel, 10 min walk to the Piazza Grande.

The hotel is close to the train station, convenient to travel and 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Good breakfast, a variety of desserts. Just because of the Bologna show, the price is too high.

ANCHE PERCHè è LA PRIMA VOLTA CHE VADO A MODENA IN QUANTO VOLEVO VISITARE LAFABBRICA FERRARI A MARANELLO E IL MUSEO ENZO FERRARI A MODENA. Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti in modo ECCEZIONALE dal signor Salvatore. L'HOTEL è un 4 stelle sotto tutti i punti di vista LA CORDIALITA, GENTILEZZA E PULIZIA DI TUTTA LA STRUTTURA SONO AL TOP. MERITEREBBERO UNA BELLA RISTRUTTURATA LE CAMERE (IO MI RIFERISCO ALLA 125) dove ho alloggiato è VERO CHE HO SCELTO LA CAMERA ECONOMY MA I MOBILI E IL BAGNO COMPRESE LE PORTE SONO PARECCHIE DATATE E ROVINATE. LA COLAZIONE è OTTIMA E TROVI DI TUTTO DOLCE E SALATO.

Abito a Zola Predosa e per lavoro spesso accompagno miei collaboratori in questo hotel da anni (dove prenoto lasciando sempre la mia carta a garanzia), questo week end ho accompagnato 2 miei soci come di consueto, quando arrivo in hotel non trovo la solita ragazza alla reception (veramente molto brava e sveglia) ma un ragazzo che però rifiuta di farmi salire a salutare i miei soci nonostante ero disponibile a lasciargli il documento (come faccio sempre, oltretutto erano le 19 ed ero andato a prenderli per la cena) e la prenotazione era garantita dalla mia carta. Non ho voluto neanche perdere tempo a discutere con questo personaggio e me ne sono andato, il giorno successivo li ho spostati in altro hotel in zona dove sono più educati verso i propri clienti, è un peccato che dopo anni mi sia trovato in questa situazione grottesca proprio in un hotel da me scelto per i miei soci.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel ad inizio Luglio 2023, salgo per entrare in camera, la porta non si apre utilizzando la chiave magnetica. Torno in reception e ricevo 2 chiavi una meccanica per la porta e una magnetica per le luci. Entro in camera alle 19.00, le luci non funzionano, segnalo l'inconveniente alla reception ed esco per cena. Al mio rientro le luci non vanno, richiamo alla reception e c'è un addetto che stenta nel parlare italiano, sale in camera per controlli senza risolvere, riesce solo a dirmi non ci sono altre camere, buona notte! In sintesi totale inefficienza nella gestione di un problema tecnico, nessuna attenzione verso il cliente (potevano quantomeno portarmi un lume o qualcosa di simile che aggirasse il problema), per stare in camera ho dovuto usare la luce del cellulare, DA DIMENTICARE!!

Albergo dalla posizione eccellente vicinissimo al centro storico di Modena in cui passeggiare e banchettare ma con i comfort di una sistemazione lontana dalla confusione e dalla folla, in primis il posto-auto. Struttura elegante, perfettamente manutenuta spazi accoglienti e gradevoli. La stanza perfetta sotto tutti gli aspetti completa di tutti i comfort.
