I stayed one night only in a newly renovated room on the top floor (3rd floor). The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice except for the very noisy old fan on the ceiling which goes on automatically when the light is turned on. That fan needs to go. I was informed that breakfast was not included as I had reserved through *******. It cost $7 taxes and was “okay”. The staff was very friendly and professional, the female evening attendant even called the room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I would recommend this hotel.

The young lady at the front desk was friendly. Check in was easy and painless. My key cards deactivated, and I was able to get new ones easily. I had to leave the hotel before my scheduled date and I was able to receive a refund for my remaining days it was a good experience

No hotel dining establishment, rooms are out dated, you have to pay for the 'continental' breakfast.

We stayed at this property for one night. While we did expect it to be on the noisier side (family’s in the pool) I did not think the walls would be as thin as they are. The property was close to restaurants. The pool floors were not the cleanest, and it was hard to find towels, but my daughter enjoyed her time with the other kids in the pool. I found mold growing in the grout lines in the shower. The icing on the cake though was the plougher that decided to start clearing the very back parking lot of the hotel at 5:30 in the morning.

We were 1 of 4 female hockey teams that stayed for 5 nights at the Sandman in Castlegar recently. From the initial booking to check out, the team at Sandman provided our team exceptional customer service. Jane the GM, Rene the front desk manager, Cheryl and Nikki also at the front desk were amazing and always helpful. It's always a challenge hosting a big group (especially a sports team) but they were great for us. Thank you from the Surrey Falcons!

We had a hotel booked in Golden last Sunday night (Mar 17th) after finding out during a stop for lunch at Sicamous that highway 1 was closed for Avalanche control from Revelstoke to Golden. It was either wait 8 hours or get a ferry to Castlegar. We got the ferry to Castlegar after cancelling the hotel at Golden for free. Sandman saved us as now we needed a room asap. We got a first floor (111) pool facing room that was right behind the pool. Small but it worked for one night and $113 plus tax Stay at Golden next time. We are mad at BC highways as a 4 hour trip turned into a 6 hour trip.
