There was clear discriminatory behavior toward people of color from the hotel staff. We booked a room with a double bed and a sofa bed, but the room we were given did not include the sofa bed as advertised. Even worse, the bathroom had no curtain at all, offering virtually no privacy. Considering this is a very expensive hotel, the level of service and professionalism was extremely disappointing. When we mentioned these issues during checkout, the staff simply shrugged their shoulders without any apology or explanation. In the end, they only waived the €25 overnight parking fee as if that would resolve everything. What made the experience even more unpleasant was how we were ignored while waiting in line to check out. In particular, the two female staff members working around 10:00 AM to 12pm on April 27 showed an extremely dismissive and disrespectful attitude. Later that afternoon, when we returned to collect our stored luggage, no staff member informed us that our bags had been brought out. We eventually discovered that a pink Zojirushi thermos bottle was missing. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The poor service, lack of professionalism, and the way we were treated made us feel unfairly targeted and unwelcome.

Just landed in Sicily, I had a bit of medical condition. The staff were super helpful to arrange the doctor, translate and help me get my meds. The experience made me truly feel welcomed and I gotta have such a wonderful start to the trip thanks to their kindness and hospitality.

Perfect hotel for transit before heading to Taormina

A beautifully renovated hotel in the old style perfectly located in the central old town of Catania. Star all spoke English beautifully the room was a upstairs downstairs loft very comfortable with a magnificent ensuite. Great views great location fantastic rooftop restaurant with bar both indoor an outdoor seating, which was terrific becauseit was quite chilly for a couple of nights I stayed there

Great hotel. Efficient check in, spotless room with plenty of toiletries and towels etc. Hotel in a great location between historical areas and lovely parks; bars and restaurants. Special mention to breakfast team, who were lovely each day and always on the go. Catania’s a vibrant place and this hotel really enhanced our trip.

Great location. Right at the heat of Catania. Staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for eating options. The roof top bar is must visit for great views and good food

I liked this hotel. Central and close to airport. Rooms and all Hotel very clean and excellent service. Breakfast very good too .

Love the very convenient location right in the middle of Via Etnea, walking distances to most of the major attractions. Front Office is warm and very helpful in providing us with information and map upon checking in. Room was great and very comfortable. We were an hour early for check-in, and the room we booked wasn't available then. Instead, we got a surprise to be able to check-in into a bigger room. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choices. Highly recommended. The property is right opposite the Rinascente departmental store. Before careful if you are claiming VAT refund. My tax refund of over 200 euros was disallowed as the tax refund form prepared by them deliberately omitted the last digit of my passport number.

Location was important to me when traveling with my wife, and it exceeded my expectations. Be sure to check out the market near the hotel.
