Pleasantly surprised by the hospitality at Casa Verdi. Many volunteers, but they make an effort to include newcomers. Excellent facilities like hot showers and WiFi, but also there is a well-equipped kitchen and sufficient space to relax or socialize. No bunkbeds. The place is kept very clean. Free fresh fruit and vegetables! Location is less than 10 minutes on foot from the airportbus stop at Via Etnea. There is room for improving noise management. Perhaps guests could be urged to pack their stuff prior to silence hours and not in the middle of the night. Stayed one week.

Excellent place to stay, highlight of the trip really. More like staying at a friends house than a hostel. Made to feel very welcome by the staff who we became friends with in the end. Conveniently placed in a good distance from everything you need. A real gem

Great hostal vibe. Was lucky to arrive an evening where they had a music performance with snacks & wine for everybody (donation welcome). The room is very spacious, no bunk beds, but a normal bed. 3 big bathrooms w toiletries. All spotless clean. Very welcoming service by the staff, all volunteers doing an excellent job. Nice little kitchen with cozy outdoor balcony sitting. Keep up the good work guys !! Very good location : 17 min walk from train station, 7 min walk to Alibus stop to/from airport and 3 min from a daily market and close to Via Etnea. Will come again upon my next visit to Catania.
