Hotel Sofia

Ich habe nicht dort gewohnt trotzdem haben die Geld abgebucht. Ohne Konfirmation habe ich irgendwo anders Hotel gebucht und gewohnt. Zwischen Zeit haben die Geld abgebucht und wartet auf unsere Ankunft. Ich weiß es nicht was ich machen muss

Lo único bueno es la ubicación, en pleno centro de Catania. Cuando llegamos, no había llaves donde nos habían dicho. Llamamos varias veces por teléfono y mandamos varios WhatsApp y no nos contestaba nadie. Finalmente bajó la recepcionista cuando ya se marchaba a su casa y nos dio las llaves. Si hubiese decidido bajar una hora después, hubiésemos esperado una hora más. El baño está sucio. La mampara de la ducha está sucia. El WC tiene una especie de caja o cubículo séptico donde va a parar el agua sucia y que cada poco hace ruido. No se puede tirar ni papel higiénico dentro. Los apliques del baño estaban rotos o les faltaban piezas. La cisterna no tenía pulsador. Nos alojaron frente a la recepción y se oye todo, es imposible dormir a partir de las 8:00 horas. Al estar en pleno centro (via Etnea), hay mucho ruido y se escucha todo durante toda la noche, las ventanas no insonorizan absolutamente nada y no se puede dormir. El edificio es muy viejo, las escaleras poco iluminadas y llenas de trastos. Aunque lo llamen así, la palabra hotel le viene muy grande. No volveremos.

We stayed 3 nights in this "Hotel" which is not a Hotel. It's a "kind" of B&B. In fact, in what they call the "Hall" which is actually a corridor with armchairs, there isn't even an external bathroom, in fact upon arrival, while I was waiting for my room to be cleaned, I had to go down to the bar below to be able to pee. Room 208 that was assigned to us was a real nightmare: the smell of mold and stagnant water coming from the windowless bathroom is nauseating, so strong as a smell that it invades the entire room. Inside the bathroom there are no plastic or paper cups to place toothbrushes. Like shampoo and shower gel, plastic sachets are usually used as free samples of the products. The room was very dusty, the duvet on the bed (which luckily we didn't use) was embarrassing. The TV is small and placed so far from the bed that to watch it you need the supplied binoculars. The wardrobe was swinging and we were afraid to put our clothes in it for fear of it falling on us, in fact we left them in the suitcase. In short, the Overlook in the film The Shining is Disneyland in comparison.

The only positive thing is the strategic location for visiting Catania Center. No parking, forced to use uncomfortable and expensive blue lines....... positioned in the middle of the restricted traffic zone without even being able to unload your luggage. Large but poorly maintained rooms with windows overlooking dirty courtyards etc.
