We stayed in the Keepers on the way to Donegal. We were greeted by our host Sheila on our arrival, who made us feel right at home. Sheila knowledge of the local area was fantastic. We took up her suggestion and headed off to Tullydermot Waterfall one of Cavan's hidden gems. On our return we had a lovely evening meal in the bar. The choice was excellent. I had bear battered cod , tartar sauce and chips. My partner had steak, stirfry and chips. I followed up my mains with fresh fruit roulade and my partner had homemade rhubarb tart with ice cream on to side, both were simply delicious. Later that evening Bryan our bar man kept us entertained. My partner would recommend the creamy pints of Guinness. The bed was one of the most comfortable we slept in . Breakfast the next morning was cooked fresh to order, again with a wide choice. We will definitely be back . 10 out of 10 from us.

Without doubt one of my favorite places visited this year. Great location. Bryan and Sheila are the most welcoming people who were incredibly helpful and generous with their time and knowledge of the local area and further afield. The hospitality shown was superb. The Keepers Arms is a little gem, with welcoming staff and friendly customers. The food was delicious, comfortable spotless rooms. It felt like home away from home. Highly recommended.

Lovely family run hotel . Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bar food was nice and breakfast included which was great. Perfect for a stay over for visiting stairway to heaven and marble arch caves. Would recommend to stay here.

My partner and I stayed here from 11-13 July. Nothing was a problem for Sheila. She even had balloons and banners for my boyfriends 40th birthday which was a lovely surprise. We even had dinner one night outside in the garden which was lovely with the stove outside. The markee outside looked amazing too will defiantly have to try it next time. We are so looking forward to going back when are youngest puppy is toilet trained as it has everything you need in the b&b and you dont even need to go anywhere. We look forward to our next trip. Thanks again for accomodating us for breakfast and dinner. Xxx

A very pleasant guest house, with attached pub and restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was bigger than expected and well equipped, with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The breakfasts were excellent and cooked to order. We also ate dinner two nights in the garden and the food was first class and extremely tasty. A highly recommended base for exploring west Cavan.

As soon as we entered, exhausted from our flight into Dublin, my husband and I were welcomed warmly by Brian and Sheila. Their kindness and attention were evident throughout our stay of several days from the huge Irish breakfasts that filled us up to the evenings where we would have a pint and a laugh at the lively pub on the first floor. In between, Brian and Sheila shared loads of information for our days spent hiking nearby and exploring the history of the area. They genuinely are engaged with their town and are eager to have you enjoy Bawnboy while you are there. And the rooms are spotless!

Just returned from our annual two week fishing trip. We have being staying here for 15 years and after unfortunately not being able to go last year we couldn’t wait to return. The service from Sheila, Brian and all the staff was excellent as always. With the usual great food and craic in the bar. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and are already booked in for next May Great people. Great laughs and great fishing Thanks to everyone at the Keepers From Lee

Myself and a few of the girls spent a wonderful weekend in the Keepers Arms last weekend and what a wonderful time we had. Upon booking Sheila was so accommodating to my dietary needs and gave me lots of information regarding local tourist hotspots. On arrival Sheila was there to welcome us with open arms. The highest standards were in place with regards to Covid 19 regulations, the accommodation was spotless and she couldn't have done enough for us. In particular, Sheila sourced food to accommodate my recent coeliac diagnosis, even making up her own dressing for my salad ... absolutely delicious. She sat and chatted with us after breakfast and really made us feel at home,. We had a great time both nights in the bar with Sheila and Bryan and the craic was mightly. We spent a very wet but enjoyable Saturday afternoon at the Boardwalk, a must see if you're in the area. We will definitely be back again!!!
