I travelled to Daiquiri with a friend and was there April 14 to April 28. This is my 9th stay at Daiquiri, and it is still by far my favourite place in the Cayos. Front desk check in was swift and my room was ready in no time. I was placed on the east side of the resort (Guardalavaca) and it is a lot noisier than I would like. It's a kitesurfer area, and their interactions are not serene and quiet as I would like. I much prefer the West side by the marina, but was told it was unavailable. I will not stay on the East side again, I go there for quiet and relaxation. Jose, Raul, Frank, and the lady who checked me in (I can't recall her name) were great. There was one other who snapped my face off for asking a question. All I have to say about that is this, if he dislikes his job, dislikes tourists, and can't even fake a basic curtesy, he should be reassigned elsewhere away from paying guests. Management could be more reasonable as well. I chose Seaview, and got it, it was lovely. The morning sun and ocean breeze were delicious, and I loved it, my room was in good repair, and kept up nicely by Housekeeping. I loved the new comfy bed. No issues except the kiter noise, and the very loud Country & Western Jamboree at one point. The Dining room had lots to choose from, although it was repeatative. We went during the beginning of Low Season, So that's what I expect. The food was good, fresh fish fry station was great. Nice to see all our old friends in there as well. Thank you Vecky, M****l, Alifre, Mama, and so many others. We mostly went to a la carte diningrooms at night, and the mahi mahi at the Italian Restaurant was delicious. Let's talk about Kevin from Guest Relations. That man is fabulous, I'll bet he could spin seagrass into silk. He was instrumental in helping my friend fix a most unpleasant situation that should never have happened in the first place. He and Maria Nela make a great team, I wonder does Daiquiri know what gold they have in this duo. They should. Aselia from Community Relations was actually a godsend in making several situations right, and she was relentless, professional, personable, and thorough. I hope you know what gold you have in her as well. I was so happy to see all our friends on the Lobby bar this time. DeBray, Yanet, Yanessi, Rachel, Ernesto, Jandy, and ChuChu are the best. We spent quite a bit of time in the lobby catching a breeze in the shade, and these people were always a joy. Attentive, hardworking, fun and reliable, always a smiling face no matter what. I saw several performances in the lobby while there, some excellent, some average. The saxophonist and breakdancers were a lovely change from the norm. I did not go to the theatre, or attend any animation events as I find them too loud, but they were always working hard to entertain. It was great to see Pepito back as well ! This next paragraph is very important. This is the first time at Daiquiri that I had an issu
