We were two couples staying for a couple of days. 25 minute walk to the old town of Celle. Free ride with bus for hotel guests (did not try the bus) We felt welcome at start - but slowly this feeling disappeared in reception/ restaurant. We were not loud or misbehaving so we were all wondering; How can you run a hotel and make the guests feel not welcome… Hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is OK but nothing special. We only had breakfast; I noticed that most guests arriving for breakfast were welcomed with stoneface and a demand of the room number - which would be okay AFTER you have said “ goodmorning” (maybe even with a tiny smile)….

Piètre établissement sans charme sans ambiance où bien qu'ayant effectué une réservation, nous avons mangé dans la partie café, les tables du restaurant étant déjà redressées pour le petit déjeuner. Pas de nappe, pas de set de table, pas de bougie, bref plus que rustique! Les assiettes auraient pu être servies plus chaudes à moins que ce ne soit pour que les clients ne s'attardent pas.... Prix du vin prohibitif : au verre ou en bouteille d'un litre car cet établissement ne fait décidément pas dans la nuance!

Heerlijk soort familiehotel, 10 minuten van het centrum en bus voor de deur. Er stonden verse cantharellen op het menu die waren ruimschoots aanwezig bij onze schnitzel. Ook ontbijt was prima. Ruime parkeergelegenheid. Grote 3 persoons kamer en badkamer.

Wir verbrachten eine Woche im Hotel Heidekönig. Zunächst hatten wir große, schöne Zimmer zur Straße im Haupthaus, die sich aber leider nicht richtig verdunkeln ließen. Darüber hinaus wurden wir sehr früh von starken LKW-Verkehr geweckt. Auf unsere Bitte hin bekamen wir neue Zimmer im Nebengebäude, die zwar etwas kleiner waren, dafür aber sehr ruhig. Insgesamt haben wir uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sowie das gesamte Hotel waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, das Frühstück ausgezeichnet, reichhaltig und es gab leckere frische Brötchen. Unsere E-Bikes konnten wir in einem neuen Schuppen sicher unterbringen und sogar aufladen. Unsere ursprüngliche Buchung hatten wir um ein paar Tage verlängert, weil es uns so gut in Celle und in dem Hotel sehr gut gefallen hat. Wir können den Heidekönig nur empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen.
