Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel

Most incredible stay! Everything about the hotel is perfect! The location is ideal along the river in the center of the old city. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the food is outstanding, drinks delicious. The hotel is recently renovated, rooms are beautiful and have all the right amenities and are designed well. There are even bikes you can borrow! Highly recommend, must stay if you are going to the city!

Easily the best hotel of our two week trip to Croatia/Slovenia. The staff was exemplary even going so far at to run to a nearby restaurant to secure us a reservation. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a great mixture of old with up to date conveniences. Beautiful view of the castle and town square. Walking distance to the entire old town. Great dinner at Julija as well as the Friday night open kitchen. The hotel offered convenient snd reasonable valet parking and the staff made it very easy for us to navigate getting in and out of the city. Wonderful place. We will definitely visit again.

An absolutely exceptional stay in a beautiful, high end boutique hotel in lovely Ljubljana. The hotel is in a heritage building which has been impeccably renovated in a high spec way. All the features are quality including automated coffee makers with real beans in the room! I stayed in the Cobbler’s room which was one of the smaller ones, but very well designed and comfortable. Glorious bed and great blackout curtains for jet lag. What really made it was the staff, who were low key, friendly, but extremely knowledgeable about Slovenia. Particular thanks to the female staff member at the front desk whose name I forget who was so kind to me and my one year old son, and incredibly helpful in organising a tour to Lake Bled for me including a petting zoo stopover for my baby. In addition the breakfast was absolutely delightful and showcased Slovenian produce. A perfect stay and look forward to returning!

We arrived to Israel deeply impressed by the wonderful, warm hospitality, service and facilities of Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel. The attention, simpathy and kindness that surrounded us during my birthday celebration was one of a kind! The best service that we ever encountered!! The high level, very professional team at reception, restaurant and housekeeping ensured that our holiday in Lubljana will be really unforgettable!! For a very special stay in Ljubljana, do not miss Zlata Ladjica. Small and in a historic building with contemporary furnishings, it felt good right away. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, also, with an outside patio and an inside restaurant that was intimate but not stuffy. And this hotel is right on the river convenient to everything. However, the memories I shall always have of my 5 night stay involved the 25 people on the staff who operate like a well organized team. Everyone knew my name and tried to provide me every day and in every way with the best memories you could possibly have including great suggestions of what to do and how to use my time. I am now back home but my heart is still at this hotel. It is very very special.

Perfect location. Possibly the best staff we’ve ever encountered. Their restaurant recommendations were exactly to our taste ( not easy!!) They were really knowledgeable and helpful. Truly comfortable bed and pillows. Delicious breakfast. Just returned from a lovely week in Ljubljana, so glad we chose to stay here.

We stayed here for three nights as a base for exploring the area and were not disappointed. - Superb location in the heart of the old town and right on the river - Quiet rooms (despite the location) - Wonderful staff (nothing is too much trouble) - Excellently appointed rooms/comfy beds/powerful showers - Excellent breakfast (ask for anything you like or just allow yourself to be served their standard breakfast - you will not go hungry!) - Excellent restaurant for dinner (we had the tasting menu with matching wines - enjoyed trying all the local wine and the host was fabulous - can't remember his name) - No, you can't park exactly on-site, but it's not an issue as you can park 100m away and the staff come to meet you and valet park for you/collet your car whenever you need it. We never had to wait - Lovely extra touches like thoughtful leaving gifts on departure, remembering preferences for breakfast, chocolates in the room at night etc. Honestly, stop your hotel search now and cross it off your to-do-list - just stay here and you won't be disappointed. If we're ever back in the region we will stay here without hesitation. Only issue we had was wi-fi wasn't working at all in our first room (the 'Cut Out' room). Luckily the hotel wasn't full and we were moved to another room for our last night.

A brillaint experience, which started off with the warmest of welcomes even under the chilly rain. The hotel is perfectly located and has been finished to a great standard whilst being incredibly inviting. What really made our stay special were the staff who were brilliant and of course a special thank you to Gregor who went out of his way to ensure we had the perfect stay. We will be back!
