Hotel Pooja Palace

Great location, great price and super safe for solo female visitors. Loved a visite to this hotel for a few days. Was also there with Intrepid Travel.

What a hotel!! dirty, noisy (from reception and kitchen) and windowless. If you want hot water out with morning you have to give 30 minutes notice to reception. Started and finished a group trip at this hotel which I believe the company are no longer using due to client complaints. On a positive note the staff were great

Excellent. Really helped me out at short notice after some plane and train drama. Friendly. Service great. Rooms clean. Excellent location.

I had a lovely stay at Pooja Palace :) would recommend! Staff was great and the rooms were nice. The area is busy but not too overwhelming, there are ***y shops, restaurants and cafés, so I had the chance to try some local cuisine as well.

The hotel is in a great location close to metro station, market area and restaurants but super quiet and calm. A real oasis. The rooftop garden space is very special - healthy plants lovingly cared for. The staff are excellent - super caring and friendly.

Although my partner and I stayed here as part of an organised group, I would certainly stay here again thanks to fantastic staff. The staff were kind, generous and informative with each customers interests always considered. They were always available and made the time here great. They helped in all aspects including day trips around Delhi and helping us after checkout as we had a long wait before leaving. I highly recommend this hotel with comfortable quiet rooms, calm rooftop, food available and good restaurants nearby aswell as a big market. I'd be happy to come here again. Thankyou so much.

I was traveling with a tour group otherwise I would never subject my self to this accommodation. My Uber gave up trying to reach the hotel because of the narrow streets and traffic leading up to the Pooja. I was dropped two blocks away. Checkin is posted for 12 noon but when I arrived at 3:30 no room was not ready until 4:30pm. My reservation was for a non smoking room but I was checked into a smoking room, I immediately could smell the cigarette stench and noted the ash tray on the table. Not to worry the housemen snatched the ash tray and came back to spritz the room with air freshener. Hardly my idea of a non smoking room. I tried to bare it for a few hours. The shower was so dirty there was clumps of hair and black mold. And the shower glass was so dirty it was clouded with filmy residue. The towels were sticky and hard. No hot water that evening, had to ***age with some cold splashes. I was traveling with 8 others and they all had similar complaints and concerns about the Pooja Palace. No body wanted to stay!

Though the hotel itself is rather basic (clean, safe, comfortable etc), it’s rating is much approved due to the helpfulness and accommodating nature of the staff. They went out of their way to help us with recommendations, directions, arranging a driver at reasonable prices, even escorting us to ATM and on day trips. We had a long wait before a late departure to the airport and they were kind enough to give us day use of a room with no charge. We would definitely recommend this place as a great place to use as a base when transporting through Delhi.

I first stayed at Pooja Palace back in 2014 when it was the starting place for an Intrepid Travel tour I had booked. From that first stay I have booked into Pooja Palace whenever I have returned to Delhi, and that has been numerous times as I visit India for months at a time and Delhi is a good starting and finishing point for ***y tours and other tourist activities. The staff are helpful, informative and friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable for a budget-priced hotel, with all of the amenities that I ever need. Great wifi, which is essential for me. Pooja Palace is only a few metres from Karol Bagh market, and less than a 5 minute walk to the Metro, so it is very convenient for shopping, exploring etc. I have booked in again for my last night in India in 10 weeks time, as I am always happy to return to Pooja Palace.
