La Casa Mirador Wedding Venue Review: I had my wedding at La Casa Mirador on May 28th, 2022. I am a bit late posting a review because I was emailing back and forth with Wendy and Dikran in hopes that there would be some sort of compensation for the horrible experience we had with La Casa, but no such luck! La Casa is a self serve venue, but you pay for a wedding package which is supposed to include tables, table cloths, ballroom chairs, chair covers, cutlery, and plates. I prepared all of my rentals based on the fact that La Casa would be holding up their end of the contract with supplying these items. To our shock and disgust, we opened up the table cloth and chair cover bins. There were only TWO round table cloths and we had 9 round tables. We were short 7. There were other table cloths, but these did not fit the tables properly and were obviously meant for some other kind of table. La Casa was adamant that they were the correct kind, when obviously they were not, considering they had 2 tables cloths that actually DID fit. The chair coverings were absolutely disgusting, most ripped, wrinkled, and some even had what looked like BLOOD on them! I was so upset because this was the night before our wedding, and we were not able to set up due to this. We were trying to get ahold of the staff at La Casa in hopes that this bin of table cloths and chair coverings were supposed to belong in the garbage, and that they had the proper equipment somewhere else. They were able to find a second bin of less damaged chair coverings, but they still were not very good quality. As for the table coverings, we were SOL. I really do not know why they charge a wedding fee if they don't even hold up their end of the contract by providing what they say they will. My wedding coordinator was able to call in some favours and get a rental store to rent us some tablecloths last minute in Kelowna. Luckily, she picked these up for us, otherwise that would have been another huge inconvenience the night before the wedding. This cost me an extra $341 in rentals just because La Casa did not provide what they said they would provide. When speaking with the owner and manager, they tried to cast blame on the wedding coordinator saying she should have made a site visit in advance. She did in fact make a sight visit in advance, but the table cloths/chair coverings were not shown to her as no one could unlock the storage room. La Casa refused to compensate us any money for the extra rentals we had to get, and they also refused to give us a discount on the wedding package even though they did not have the proper supplies they claimed they would have. None of the glasses were clean and prepped to use for the wedding. We were running dishloads and dishloads of glassware, cutlery, and plates the night before as well so that they were clean for the guests. I REALLY don't understand the point in La Casa's massive cleaning fee if you get there and have to clean everything yourself be
