There was a power outage the evening I arrived. Unfortunate and i suppose nothing the hotel could have done - though I wondered if there was any generator backup? The staff tried hard but it was obvious she was at a loss and all alone. Very few folks in the hotel when I was there and the shower took so long to get warm that I had to cut my losses and move on before it kicked in much later.

We wanted to stop east of St Louis to avoid morning rush hour.
Service was friendly and fast. It has a hot breakfast. The room was larger than some chains. It doesn’t do those big containers of shampoo etc on the wall which I hate. Who knows what the last guest did to them thinking it’s funny.
My only gripe was the vending machines that didn’t take cards and required exact change. Thank goodness they had water and snacks available at the front desk. I really wanted a coke :(
