Aussergewöhnliches Hotel, zentral am Marktplatz gelegen und durch das Zusammenlegen zweier grosser Stadtvillen ehemals vermögender Besitzer entstanden. Die Zimmer sind sehr individuell und grosszügig geschnitten, Antiquitäten und Stuck erwirken einen hochherrschaftlichen Eindruck und charmantes Ambiente. Für Gehbehinderte und Rollis leider definitiv ungeeignet. Frühstück und Hotelrestaurant sind ok und Parken kann man kostenpflichtig auf öffentlichen Plätzen in der Nähe. Mittlerweile ist mit der Villa Moris ein Gästehaus in ca 100 m Entfernung dazu gekommen, alles schön renoviert und gemütlich im gleichen Stil gehalten. Trotz zentraler Lage schläft man in beiden Häusern ruhig , darf sich allerdings nicht von regelmässigen Schlägen der kleinen Kirchglocke und der sehr früh startenden morgentlichen Müllabfuhr ärgern lassen. Das Hotel bleibt jedenfalls in guter Erinnerung und wird von mir gern empfohlen.

The hotel is very nice from outside but it cannot be considered a 4 star inside. We had problems in a very slow check-in process. The room was small and very basic. The fridge did not work. The breakfast nothing more than average.

Wer hier 4 Sterne Romantik erwartet dem bleibt nur zu Hoffen das alles schnell vorbei Ist. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist mit Verlaub gesagt nicht mal einen Stern wert. Der Krach vor dem Hotel tut sein übriges. Schlafen ist unmöglich!!!!!!
