The hotel is a renovation of an old perfume factory, on the Douro River, very beautiful! worth staying multiple times

This hotel is outstanding! The hotel staff - every one of them - are all excellent. I honestly have never stayed anywhere where the staff was so very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was extensive and wonderful. I did not eat in the restaurant but ate every day in the bar. The food, although limited, and the drinks were very good. We stayed on the 1st floor which is the same floor as the indoor pool, gym and spa. It was very quiet and a nice room. The balcony looks out over the river - a beautiful view. I would highly recommend Pestana Douro Riverside. It was a wonderful trip, thanks in large part to the staff and the hotel and facilities at this hotel. I would give 10 stars if I could.

We loved the hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We were upgraded to a room with a river view which was an unexpected treat.
Food was good , particularly the breakfast.
The only ****** was the distance from the city but we used Ubers which were fast and reliable.

This 5 Star Hotel is over the top. From the rooms to the amenities, Wow Also the service from the front desk To the Bar/Restaurant was excellent. The view from our balcony was magnificent. We had their Breakfast buffet every morning. Great start to the day. We will be back.

Um local muito aprazível á beira rio, com vistas privilegiadas para o Rio Douro. Beber um Gin, sentado no pontão, apreciar o Pôr do sol, antes de jantar no Restaurante interior é uma experiência fantástica. O staff é muito simpático e profissional.
