This hotel made our trip an unforgettable experience. Nothing compares to falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. The location just outside of La Fortuna was perfect since it put us in close proximity to daily activities but away from the business of the tourist area. It’s likely most convenient to have your own car at this location. We started our trip off with the onsite hike, which introduced us to some of the nature we would see throughout our time in the region. It was not a difficult hike, our 5 year old had no issues. The yoga class was AMAZING. Our son enjoyed the slide in the “cold” pool and swimming in the hot springs which are about 3 feet deep. Daily breakfast on site provided many great options. The Morpho restaurant was ok but prices are high. The room was comfortable, with a coffee maker and mini fridge. Very few bugs made it into our room, which was a great surprise considering we were in the rainforest. All the staff we encountered were wonderful and truly made this a great experience for us. We hope to return!

We loved staying here. Staff was all super amazing and the grounds were gorgeous. I liked both their casual bar area and nicer restaurant for dinner. It was nice being close enough to go to La fortuna but not in the craziness.

Absolutely adored the property and staff (and food!), however we felt the pictures of the hot springs are misleading. They were somewhat warm to cold, never hot which was what we sought out to find in a place. It would be 10/10 across the board otherwise!

This hotel is a must. You stay in your own individual hut that is very private and well kept. Large porch with hammock and table is so comfortable to sit and enjoy and there is a/c that worked great inside the room. Beds are very comfortable and the coffee in the room is 10/10. Hector took us for the horseback riding tour onsite and was wonderful. Greivin did our coffee and chocolate tour and our night tour onsite and was so knowledgeable. I also really enjoyed the onsite yoga with Jessica. The food and waitstaff at the restaurants were also 10/10. So nice, clean and easily accessible. The hot spring pools are to die for and so enjoyable. Last but not least, Keyla and Leydi who handled reservations and tours are so kind and helpful. Also, when you arrive you are given a short tour of the property and Lorenzo was so kind and patient during that experience. If you like hiking, you are in for a treat with this property. Lots of trails to keep you busy. We saw a sloth, monkeys, frogs and a toucan as well as many other birds right on the property. My mom and I would definitely recommend and we will be back! -sad guest who checks out today

This was the perfect place for us to end our tour of Costa Rica. It's quiet indulgence! Relaxing and unchallenging. The rooms are a combination of rusticity and comfort. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. The hot springs are great and it also has a lovely swimming pool. Food in the Colibri is not cheap, but inventive, well prepared and very good and the service is excellent. Lovely grounds to wander in and efficient and very friendly staff.

Absolutely perfect for a peaceful getaway! We loved everything....the surroundings, the staff, amazing food & drinks, hot pools, tours. Joseph was very welcoming. He greeted us at our car, got us checked in, & gave us a tour. We went on the night walk & coffee/cacoa tour with Neny. She was awesome & we had a great time! You definitely have privacy here and the private bungalows are beautiful! The beds were super comfy and the huge shower with waterfall shower head was delightful at the end of a busy day. Absolutely no complaints! We would definitely return if vacationing in the area again. Pura Vida!!!!

Staying at this place is an unique experience and absolutely fabulous. There are few bungalows located in a private jungle next to a small river. The resort has its own hot springs so you have the option to chill in a hot spring and the cool down in the mystical jungle river. Staff is super kind, it has two restaurants and the bungalows are spatious with a private veranda surrounded by jungle. Highlights - Location and small size of the resort - Hot springs and river swim - Own jungle walk of 2km Lowlights - None really except may be the restaurant prices in comparison to the outside
