We travelled as a group of and absolutely loved our stay. The food was very fresh and tasty and is all organic; the vegetables are all grown on Dhole's Den's own farm. The hospitality of all the staff was also incredible and everyone went out of their way and paid a lot of attention to detail. We had the pleasure of also meeting Karthik (***** with their dogs :)), the owner of the property, during our stay who was warm and very hospitable. The garden ***sion is spacious, very well lit, with glass doors across a whole wall, opening up to views of the greenery in the property, and the Nilgiris in the distance. The bathroom was spacious and has an open to sky shower which is great. There is a lot of lovely art displayed within the garden ***sion as well as in the common spaces, a lot of them painted by the proprietors themselves. There are only 5 rooms/cottages on this 5 acre property, so there is ample privacy and time and space for solitude. We also enjoyed a spot of archery, an evening bonfire, a tour of the off-site Dhole's Den farm where the vegetables are grown, followed by tea at a sunset point, a nice dip in the outdoor dipping pool, all of which were included in the package. The only booking at extra cost that had to be made was that of the safari, which was also booked and coordinated by Dholes Den (and we were dropped to and picked up from the safari point). All-in-all, would highly recommend staying at Dhole's Den and we hope to be back there soon! Suggestion: The one suggestion we would have is that a sliding mesh door can also be added as a second layer option, to allow the fresh cool air to enter in the evening and nights when sleeping, while keeping insects and animals out (rather than having to close the glass sliding doors completely).
