Hampton Inn by Hilton Brooklyn Park Minneapolis

Has to be the best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. I wasn't expecting this at all! I have stayed in many and none can compare.

This hotel is a bit isolated in an industrial area with nothing really within walking distance. The staff friendly and overall public areas were clean. The room and bathroom spacious. Bathroom was actually very nice. Soundproofing poor -I could hear people next door, even from bathroom. The air conditioning unit was very loud and sounded like a jet engine - waking me up me up several times each night. Wifi was slow, even with the upgraded version. The most was 13mbps. Breakfast buffet was very basic and included in nightly price. I probably would not stay here again due to the location.

Check in on Friday was smooth, rooms were clean. Pool area seemed clean but all walls in the pool were gross, including the steps. Front desk woman on Sunday morning 3/3/24 was terrible. She had headphones on and acted like guests were bothering her. I had to ask her twice to unlock the pool since it was 9 am and it should be open. Dirty towels were on tables and the dirty pool towel bin was full. I will not stay here again.

I reserved a king mobility room via phone to the front desk 9/23 for 10/2-10/5. My confirmation email showed pictures of just such a room. I believe this property has 4 such rooms. On 10/2 I did a digital key checkin at 3:00 pm as we would be arriving late in the evening and wanted to be sure we got the type of room my wife needed. On arrival, we found the shower was a walk-in with a fixed shower head and no seat rather than a roll in with adjustable shower and seat as we had been told in the confirmation. While considered an accessible room, it was not a mobility room. Perhaps the digital checkin system doesn’t differentiate between accessible and mobility rooms. This made my wife’s showers VERY difficult. Regardless, the hotel did not have the room I reserved available, despite my best efforts, and the desk staff could not offer any explanation other than they were out of all such rooms when we arrived. HOWEVER, before submitting this review, I included the same text in the comment section of the satisfaction survey requested by the hotel. Two days later, I got a very nice email from the property manager thanking me for my input, apologizing for the inconvenience, and informing me he had refunded the cost of one of the 3 nights! So, instead of ⭐️ ⭐️, it’s now ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. My advice: don’t trust the digital checkin system if you require a specific type of room. Also, unless you live in a cave, bring an extra light or two. The room we had was very poorly lit, even with all the lights on. And, if you have a problem and the staff doesn’t offer the opportunity contact the manager, as in my case, just ask. It will be worth it.

I booked at reception the shuttle to the airport and at the agreed time the shuttle was not available because used for leisure or lunch. I had to book and Uber. No major problem but due to tight schedule it was annoying. It is possible I will considered alternative next time G Vio

Pros: Clean, friendly, nice, quiet hotel Cons: Pillows to soft, breakfast was limited at 9am (10am stop serving) wouldn't refill. $50 deposit just in case you get anything from the snack shop,but is refunded. Didn't know until I checked in

Terrible communication, frustrating reservation system, weekends have no management support. Unforgiveable and unfortunate. My family and friends heard my story and will likewise never use Hamton Inn.

In my 50+ years of traveling I have never experienced a more unpleasant ordeal than I had checking in at the Hampton Inn Brooklyn Park. Dasia, the front desk clerk who claimed to also be the manager and Miss St. Paul, was rude, condesending, entitled, unprofessional and agressive, demanding we "pro-noun-ce" our last name instead of reading it from the drivers license. It only got worse from there. I have never seen anything like it. I wish I had a video of the scene. Almost like a gate check-in on Spirit Airlines. I would think again before booking this property. A Saturday check-in is no excuse for downright bad management.

Nice representation of the brand. It's an older renovated property but everything qas in working order. The room was clean and the price was reasonable. Had microwave and fridge in room. Close to a few stores and grocery store. The bed was fine. But a little on the softer side for my taste.
