The noise level from other guests was awful. Our second night there we complained twice - we were still kept awake at 2:00 am. When we checked out we mentioned it to the front desk staff. No apology- she acted like she didn’t care. We won’t be staying there again- or recommending it to our friends.

Best thing about the hotel is convenience to the civic center. Property was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool is listed on *******, however is permanently closed so that was a disappoin**ent. Not really property’s fault. I would definitely stay again.

Marriott Town Center USED to be a nice place. This time around, I was there for a conference. Half of the lights in the lobby chandelier were out. Lights were out in the conference room chandeliers too. Wallpaper is peeling in places. The conference room bathrooms were completely out of toilet paper by lunch time. Pool is advertised, but from what I understood, permanently closed. Only warm unsweetened tea was brought out for beverage service until just before lunch. No coffee. No hot water. Ice was never brought out. They are still charging $150+ a night, and it definitely isn’t worth it anymore. There HAS to be somewhere better.

We had a Thursday- Sunday stay. During that time, we had no hot water. It would get mildly warm at best. I was offered some money back on my stay but not given an amount or when to expect it. Several other people at our convention also had the same issues.

In town for concert. No A/C in the room, stating that they are on an old boiler system and can either be on heat or air, not both (lobby & halls had A/C). They offered fans. What!? We asked why the did not disclose this when we checked in? No answer! My theory, they have found a way to cope with Bidenomics to save a ton of money. Meanwhile sacrificing customers

Hotel is still in 1999 and smells like it too. Stayed two nights and never had a warm, forget about a hot shower. Spoke with several other guests on various floors and they all had the same complaints. Hotel carpets in hallways and rooms very filthy. Cigarette smell throughout the floors. This is a sad property for the Marriott chain. I would expect more from a publicly traded entity like Marriott to have a property in this condition. It is located in downtown Charleston. Just across from the Convention Center and Arena.
