Courtyard Charleston Downtown/Civic Center

The refrigerator in our room had a half full bottle of milk in it. Not sure why as the refrigerator wasn't working anyhow. The bistro was closed on a Monday morning. Parking: The hotel has started charging a $10 to park in the lot. No attendants there and there has been a recent break-in. If I were going back to Charleston I would try the Homewood Suites and park in the Towncenter garage for $5,

I always find things so challenging at this hotel. The check-in experience took 15+ minutes of her just staring at the screen trying to find a room. I did let her know I was fine with any room and it was 5 o’clock so it was not before check-in. She said they are just so shortstaffed and cannot find people to clean the rooms, after 15 minutes I begged them to find any room or to get a manager. A manager came out and took another five minutes and seemed annoyed that I was frustrated. He was not friendly at all. Once I got to my room, there was hair on the bathroom floor that was not mine and hair all in the shower, it was nasty. This was my fifth stay at this hotel since October of last year and every single time they have the hardest time finding a room. I do not have any room request that should make it challenging. They were not friendly and seemed annoyed with me for wanting to check in. I walked away from the counter, wondering if they actually knew they were a hotel. I really wish Charleston had more options or that whoever the owner of this property was would get things straight. I stay at hotels all the time and I’ve never found things quite as challenging as they are at this hotel.

Kind and professional staff! Bistro served wonderful food, and the rooms were clean. I loved the seating area downstairs!

EV charger is for Tesla only- it’s a Tesla Supercharger that only works for Tesla even with an adapter- don’t believe the website that it’s “complementary” Trust me it doesn’t work. Make other arrangements to charge your EV. Also- the bistro hours aren’t open as stated. Overall it’s a nice hotel, very clean and seems fresh. Parking is $10/day which seems high for Charleston, WV.

First of all, ********** website lists in the amenities that there is free parking. One of the reasons I booked the room. There isn’t free parking. Second, the room had a drain stopped up that I had to report several times and get worked on several times to finally get it fixed. The manager wasn’t helpful at all about the free parking question. Basically told me it wasn’t his problem and to contact **********. They can honor the reservation but not the rest of the amenities listed in said ad. This will be the last time I book that hotel and probably be the last time I use ********** since their ad listed it wrong and cost me even more money. My cousin booked through ********** and got a bigger, nicer room a lot cheaper. That’s still a head scratcher

This is a clean, well kept hotel for the business traveller that can expense everything. It is not geared towards families passing through town on spring break. Parking is an added fee which was surprising considering it's an open parking lot. Breakfast is also an added fee and 5 - 20 oz. drinks out of the snack area were double what you would expect to pay at a convenience store or gas station. There are several restaurants within driving distance and a Starbucks just across the street. I booked at this hotel because it offered a single room to accomodate my family of five but I'll look elsewhere when travelling in the future to avoid the additional costs.

Ver clean and comfortable bed. The only complaint, we had to pay an extra $10 for parking on the property. ☹️

Clean facility, pool was great for kids. Staff was friendly. Check out at noon is a huge plus. Will stay again ! Wish parking was free.

5 stars for sure. My only complaint is my booking said free parking and the hotel made me pay for parking. Free parking/ or parking included was one reason why I booked this hotel.
