We were very impressed with the McGrady Inn ... It is a very unique One-Of-A-Kind B&B! The owner is extremely helpful, the whole facility is amazingly clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The old section of Charleston does not have much to offer, but the Eastern University area just 7 blocks away is very active.

The first time we've ever stayed at a former church. It was very beautiful with lovely decor. A nice Continental breakfast was included.

Absolutely gorgeous property. Unique stay in a converted church. Quiet, private and relaxing. Enjoyable upper story deck to relax on at night. Continental breakfast available .

If you are looking for a quiet, unique place to stay this is a great choice. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept on. It was also nice being able to use the kitchen area if we wanted to bring food back to the Inn for meals. We will stay here again if it's available next time we're in the area.

I have stayed at the McGrady Inn about a half dozen times. I went to college at Eastern Illinois University, and still have friends in Charleston, Illinois, so I stay at the Inn when I visit them. It's hard to describe just how lovely this place is, and how nice and helpful the owners Karen and Adam are. The location is great-- about a five minute walk to the town square, and about a ten minute walk to the campus, and the price is not much more than a motel would cost me. I always look forward to my stays there.
