Hotel Bennett Charleston

What a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is elegant with a very friendly staff. The location is perfect as it is in the heart of Charleston. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The beds are super comfortable and the room decor is tasteful, classy, and timeless. I would love to stay here again.

What a lovely experience the Hotel Bennett was. My wife and I came for our anniversary, and we were truly grateful for our decision to come here. The price of the rooms very much reflects the level of service and care you receive while you are here. We got the basic king sized room, but the space was more than enough for us, and the room itself was gorgeous. The staff here were some of the most friendly and attentive staff I have had the pleasure of meeting. Our rooms were cleaned and serviced 2-3 times a day, depending on whether we were in the room still. They leave little dark chocolates on the pillows for the evening, and it’s such a lovely little touch. The bathtub was quite large, enough for both me and my wife to very comfortably bathe in together. The shower was quite spacious as well. The hotel itself was immaculate, so very clean and smelled wonderful throughout (a common issue we’ve had with many hotels we’ve stayed at). The lobby itself was very welcoming, and so very beautiful. We were so caught up in the beauty and comfort, we forgot to take more pictures of it all. Also, talk to the concierges here if this is your first visit to Charleston, especially Kevin. There people know everything you could want about this city. Kevin managed to get us into Halls Chophouse down the road that I had been trying to get a reservation for over a month with a night notice. They are very skilled at what they do, and will help make your trip even more memorable. My wife and I will definitely be back here again in future visits, and would recommend anyone wanting a beautifully comfortable stay to choose the Hotel Bennett.

Stayed here with my family and the whole hotel was decked out for the holidays—it felt super festive. Service was excellent! We booked through Amex FHR, and the perks were definitely worth it. We ate at Gabrielle’s for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. The only hiccup was a minibar mix-up, they accidentally charged us for items from a previous guest (about $250). Once we brought it up, management fixed it right away. If you’re looking for a luxury stay in Charleston, this place is definitely worth considering!

From the moment we arrived , Kevin transformed our first mother-daughter getaway into an absolutely exceptional experience! Kevin didn’t just offer recommendations he curated a couple of experiences we would have never heard about or done on our own! A private boat tour to one of the oldest lighthouses in the country!! A captain whose heritage is embedded in the waters we were riding on!! He shared personal stories of the history of his family and the area. We saw dolphins, oyster and clam beds, and were able to collect beautiful shells on the island surrounding the lighthouse. On the second night, Kevin took his hospitality and knowledge a step further, by taking us on a night walking tour through the most prestigious streets and alleys of Charleston. He pointed out beautiful homes, gardens, and fountains while talking about the history and charm of what makes Charleston so unique! During the tour Kevin also acted as our personal photographer by knowing exactly when to stop. Where to stand, what angle and lighting to use to capture the perfect photo opportunity. These pictures will provide us such special and lasting memories of our first mother-daughter trip! What stood out most was Kevin’s warmth and enthusiasm! He matched our energy with every interaction, and left us feeling looked after and appreciated. Concierge’s often are overlooked and not fully utilized, it’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their role and makes such a meaningful impact on a trip. Because of Kevin, our mother-daughter trip was not only enjoyable , it was memorable in a way we’ll talk about for years!! This trip definitely set the bar for future trips! We can’t recommend Kevin and his services with Hotel Bennett highly enough!
