Excellent service.

Shower water got cold immediately and would not get hot again in the morning. Also wanted a king bed, but was provided a double room, even though I booked a king room.

Really nice hotel actually! I wasn’t sure about the Independence Inn only because I haven’t heard of them and turns out they’ve taken over from Best Western about 2yrs ago but will be going back to Best Western according to the front desk. Either way, this property is actually really nice for what you pay for. The rooms were clean, beds nice and comfy, facilities around the property (fitness center, laundry ($2 each W&D) and common areas) and breakfast was good too! I want to give a specific shout out “Najaf” at the front desk. What a guy, he was super cool upon check-in and even as I went back out to grab a couple more bags after I checked in, he asked if I was alright when I walked past him at the front. That’s genuine service right there. There’s a couple downsides however they aren’t that bad to be honest, but I’ll still add them in. Normal wear and tear in the room with the chair and drawer handle both broken & ripped. Not the end of the world. The last thing would be just to keep an eye on the pastries in the morning. I took one with me to work and when I went to eat it, it unfortunately had mold on the bottom. That can happen anywhere, to any place to be fair however just something for the folks to keep an eye on. Regardless though a pretty solid choice for a couple/few nights or even a week, I’d stay here a week for sure.

The room was horrible the shower knob was broken for the hot water The refrigerator didn’t work, the didn’t didn’t work and I stayed during a snowstorm and to not have working heat was unacceptable The breakfast is mediocre

The elevator doesn't work. They don't serve a full breakfast every morning. Other than that my stay was ok.

All of it the walls on the room were so thin heard people next door, under remodeling, ice machine wasn’t working.

Shower had mold and mildew in the grout and faucet leaked. Wallpaper was peeling off walls in the room. Most of the hotel is under construction, which is not mentioned when booking. On the second floor, there seemed to be no heat in the hallway which smelled like ****, and the HVAC unit in room required constant adjustment. There temperature setting on the unit was basically worthless. Maybe it will be better when construction is finished, but I would not recommended staying there as it exists currently.

The room was find and even though the motel is being remodelled it did disrupt our stay.
