I am disabled and asked for an accessible room. The entire hotel is a construction site. The first room they put us in was unusable. In the second room, the water from the sink is brown/black. The bedding is old, and the room is musty. They did not notify us that the rooms and air quality were poor due to dust and mold. I am concerned that I may end up sick with my weakened immune system. Stay away from this place if clean air and water are essential to you.

Do not book this hotel. It is under renovation. It looks and sounds like an active construction site. There is dust everywhere. The sound of circular saws and hammering is omnipresent. Judging by the amount of structural work remaining I would not book here until the middle of 2025, maybe later.

I’m not a fan of surprises. So, imagine my surprise when my wife and I checked in to the Hampton Inn on West Main Street in Charlottesville and found that the lobby area was under construction. We were also informed that water would be cut off at 11:00 am and that parking would cost $10. I am a Hilton Honors member and as such I would have thought that Hilton would inform me of these issues prior to checking in. None of this was shared before walking in the hotel. This is not a good way to work with your customers.

The place is under significant construction and we were not advised of that when we booked. We arrived at 2pm with loud construction going on and a notice that the water was turned off until 3pm It's 3:10 and the water is still not on. Incredible.

Good location for university and downtown.. The front desk rep could have been more cordial at checkin. The bed needs to be updated and it needs more charging stations for today's devices. Breakfast was above average but could be improved with better hot cooked foods and cereals, yogurts, etc.

Just an overnight stay because of an early morning appointment at UVA Hospital. Property is VERY convenient to that location. Room was large and comfortable, clean, and very quiet for being in the first floor streetside. I would stay there again.

I was surprised that they charged for parking since an automobile seems to be the only way to get there. The "accessible" room was hardly ADA compliant with only one grab bar in the shower.
