May 2024 was my second visit to Omni Charlottesville. I felt so at home even though new Omni team members were present. The welcoming cordiality was the same. And the special touches: dancing to salsa for a while one evening, marked a distinctively delightful experience.

Their recent updates are great! Room was super clean and the staff is very friendly/helpful. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Enjoyed stay

A bit confused as to why this hotel is so costly. From the service check-in, there was confusion as our son purchased a two-night stay as a gift for us, to the pools, beds, cost of food, etc. I do not see what the allure is to staying here. The gentleman who checked us in said it was a problem because our son paid for the room and it was under his name. He could've worded it better, but I felt like we were not welcome. While he was 'clearing up' our stay with our son on the line, thankfully the other agent behind the desk was warm and friendly and we chatted until the issue was cleared up. The pool was a joke. It looked like a last-minute idea to cram in a dark part of the building, and it looked like it was in disrepair. Regarding the rooms, the beds are very uncomfortable. Make sure you bring your own pillows. The barn doors in the bathrooms are difficult to close and do not completely shut. To turn on the showers, you have to step into the shower all the way and get a nice awakening blast of cold water. Breakfast for two is well over $50 but a very nice offering, one of my favorite meals during the weekend. Drinks are overpriced. Although I saw fruited water in the lobby on Friday, I never saw it offered again. The stand was always empty. Good points would be the second agent actually listened to me that this was a birthday gift from my son. When we arrived back to our room Friday evening, there was a birthday card from the hotel, two bottles of water, and a lovely dessert - so thank you for that, much appreciated. The hotel opens out onto an open-air shopping mall that has much to see, shop, and dine. There are several nice bars, dining options, bookstores, and a variety of other shops and movie theaters. But, sorry, for the cost of the rooms alone, I would not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel- super friendly staff, who were also helpful. Sipreme amenities in room and in hotel- stunning lobby and atrium. Breakfast buffet offerings were absolutely delicious. Just feet from the downtown mall with lots of shopping and dining.
