Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel

Was ok but more like student accomodation than hotel. Mattress was thin and very uncomfortable.parking complicated

Food is great in terms of flavor and nutritional standpoint. Staff is just amazing, very very welcoming and ready to help anyway possible, even borough their personal charger. The location is great if you are at e Lboro University, but even if you have to go to center town you have bus every 10 to 20 min. Great place to be.

Booked two nights at the hotel. Arrived at reception only to be made to wait for 20minutes until the receptionist found the room booking. Was informed that the hotel was overbooked and they only had a room for one night. Then was told they cant process the ********** room and that i will have to pay seperately for the one night they had available. The receptionist charged a higher nightly rate then advertised on **********. The hotel room itself looked like a student hall room. This is not a proper hotel, this is a universitiy's attempt to make money by converting a student hall into a hotel. The breakfast service stops at 9 am which is very strange and also the breakfast options were very limited.

Never even stayed there, tried to cancel or even change the travel date and they wouldn’t help. Terrible customer service and would never even think about staying here again.

I don't like to leave bad reviews as everyone is human and usually any problems can be rectified. However, I was really looking forwards to staying here, the photos of the facilties and the previous reviews are great. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival who gave lots of helpful info. The room was a good size with all of the basic features expected (tea/coffee facilties, har dryer, tv, fridge). The bed was poor quality, with visible springs and a single, thin pillow for each of us. The curtains dd not close properly so had a very large amount of light coming into the room. The shower head was basically black with mould, the bottom of the shower curtain was also covered in pink mould. We were also only given 1 towel for a room that was booked for 2. Dirty marks were over many of the walls including 2 lots of wet tea stain marks (or at least thats what i hoped they were!). On multile occasions we tried to find someone to help us with these issues but no one was around. We ended up getting our own towel from the linen store! Breakfast was minimal and on the second morning, when staff were around, they cleared my husbands fresh coffee from a table where all of our belongings were and my cup of tea (which they left!) while we waited by the toaster for toast. Items were cleared away at 8.30am (we were told breakfast was until 9am) and when i asked for some milk for a second cup of tea at the counter the response poor and I had expain what it was for before being given any

Modern, clean hotel in the heart of Lufbra campus

I stayed for the altitude rooms, 3 weeks total & full board. Would recommend this to other athletes looking to do altitude training (live high train low). The room was very spacious and the staff were brilliant with me. The staff made sure that safety was top priority and made themselves available if I needed them. The food was top class, perfect for any level of athlete. Kitchen run by top sports nutritionists so you know you’re in good hands- special shout-out to chef Varun V and Abs for being so welcoming and helpful. 5stars
