What can I say we had a booking only found out was closed by looking at website no phone call or email Saying closed we would have driven 2 hours just to drive back !! Lucky I looked at website abs said was shut no communication from thwm so again please note didnt stop

I had booked an event and an overnight stay to celebrate a family birthday. The weekend before, I got a call and an email to say both were cancelled as the hotel was closing. To add insult to injury I received an email asking for a review of the overnight stay! Honest review: Don’t bother, the owners don’t care about their bookings, they must have known when I made my bookings that they were going to close and didn't care that they were cancelling a significant family event less than a week before.

I didn't get to stay at the hotel because 2 hours before midnight of day I was meant to stay, I received an email telling me my booking was cancelled and that the hotel was closing for a YEAR. No explanation as to why such late notice, they must have known in advance. Phoned on the day, no explanation. DO NOT BOTH, who runs a hotel and treats potential customers like this. Go anywhere else. If this place opens in a year, I will be amazed. Shocking!

Not sure where to start ,fire door don't fit.chairs and carpet dirty. Bathroom a throw back from the 70s .shower just trickled water.a bag of dog poo hanging on the 20 foot tree outside the window, not sure how it got there. Holes in the curtains. No restaurant that evening .

In horrible heat to warm 1 fan going was on full melt like everyone!!! Prices on the drinks was absolutely disappointing disgusted that a pint of soda and lime £ 4. Carbonated water out a bottle does not warrant that price if I’d of known would of had a tap water and lime . I get prices are going up but that’s well over priced

Stayed at The Cedars Hotel for Download Festival, recommended by some friends. Really easy to get to and from, good bus route, bus stop to the festival is just down the road; easy to get an Uber as well. The hotel is walking distance from the city centre, and there is a Tesco and a little convenience store in the vicinity. Staff are great, very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Didn’t have food at the hotel, but had breakfast one morning, it was a good English breakfast, perfect for a long festival day. Rooms are a bit outdated, but clean. I would suggest adding some drawers, the room I stayed on did not have drawers just a little wardrobe, hence the 4 stars. There’s a garden in the back of the hotel, it has comfortable tables and chairs, it is a lovely place to have morning coffee and relax. Overall I would recommend it, and will definitely stay again!

Stayed here when I took my son to Loughborough college. Room was nice with adequate desk and sitting area. Food in the restaurant was very nice. Staff friendly. My printer failed whilst I was there and the receptionist printed the documents off for me. Would definitely recommend for working away.

Needed somewhere cheap for an overnight stay in Loughborough. Accommodation adequate, breakfast - certainly room for improvement! Coffee weak & bacon salty. As there was a private function the night I was staying parking became an issue & I feel that patrons should have priority.
