Hôtel Mercure Chartres Centre Cathédrale

Excellent .

Extremely disappointing stay. Despite clearly stating at check-in that no breakfast should be added to the rooms, we were shocked to discover at checkout that all rooms had been charged for it without any valid reason. The front desk staff gave contradictory explanations and insisted we pay a so‑called “corporate” invoice full of errors. This kind of practice feels intentional, as if designed to take advantage of busy corporate clients who might overlook such charges. It ruined the entire experience - and to do this over the Easter weekend is, a true sin committed on the holiest day.

Excellent room, clean and very comfortable bed. Bonus having tea making facilities which isn’t available in other hotels.

Very nice hotel Staff were friendly and welcoming. Ximena was very helpful and made us feel especially welcome. As a gold member I was very pleased with my upgraded room with a lovely view across to the spires of the Cathedral. A very happy visit.

Cleanliness is a high priority for me . You ranked high . Location was great ..close to the train station , the old quarter and eateries and the famous cathedral. Being a UNESCO city , Chartres is well maintained . I stayed a nite and enjoyed my short time . Staff were welcoming and helpful. I slept like a log as the mattress was comfortable

The room was spacious. Shower a little odd! All was clean. No airconditioning, so in very hot weather it could be a problem. We did not eat breakfast in hotel but went out to local cafe.

Very pleasant desk clerk at check-in, room very attractive and comfortable. Location excellent.

Modern hotel, 5-10 minutes walk from train station, and about the same from the cathedral. Decent sized bathroom (with separate toilet chamber), comfy bed, nice sitting chair and small work desk. Good breakfast selection, especially on the cold side.

Good location for the city centre of Chartres. Hotel was modern and welcoming.
