This is a review of one of the hotel’s restaurants since there is not separate listing. We dined at the mid-range bistro option. The room was attractive and luxe with good, accommodating service. Offerings were attractively presented and promptly delivered but that was the problem. It was clear that preparation was long before delivery and food had been held too long…tough, old chicken…but with flavorful sauce. I can’t predict how you will fare if you go.

Superbe hôtel en centre ville de Chartres avec tout a proximité. La chambre ultra spacieuse, la belle décoration. La literie au top. Les petites attentions sont super. La salle de bain équipe d’une baignoire d’angle. Le petite déjeuner dans une salle style verrière parisienne est un peu peu pratique pour se servir si vous n’êtes pas dedans. Si vous êtes dedans vous pouvez être parfois l’étroit. Globalement super séjour. Les enfants n’ont pas droit de profiter un peu de la piscine sur un créneau dédié comme on peu voir ailleurs. Dommage.

Double room offered, not twin as requested. However the room was pretty good with all we needed, albeit rather small.There was a well-stocked bar with good staff. The hotel is well-placed for the centre of town and the cathedral. Breakfast was also well-stocked and replenished as required. No great issues.

La brasserie est très convivial et le service est très agréable et chaleureux. Le personnel est aux petits soins avec tous les clients (hôtel au de l’extérieur) la cuisine est raffinée et très produits sont du terroirs. Les prix sont très abordables pour l’endroit

Une expérience désastreuse que je ne suis pas prête d'oublier. Malgré le cadre magnifique et les promesses de service de qualité, mon expérience a été entachée par un incident qui a révélé la malhonnêteté flagrante de l'établissement ! Refus de reconnaître la responsabilité, c'est tout simplement inacceptable. En résumé, cet hôtel à Chartres a non seulement manqué à ses engagements en matière de service de qualité, mais il a également fait preuve d'une totale malhonnêteté face à un incident sérieux. An disastrous experience that I'm not likely to forget anytime soon. Despite the beautiful setting and promises of quality service, my experience was marred by an incident that revealed the blatant dishonesty of the establishment! Refusal to acknowledge responsibility is simply unacceptable. In summary, this hotel in Chartres not only failed to deliver on its promises of quality service, but it also displayed total dishonesty in the face of a serious incident.

Le Grand monarque est un hôtel très charmant, idéalement placé à Chartres, l'accueil y est très agréable, les chambres très charmantes et tout à fait fonctionnel les. Nous avons également pu tester le spa qui est vraiment agréable, je pense que c'est vraiment à faire lors d'un séjour. Nous avons également pris un verre au bar en soirée, celui-ci est vraiment très beau et les cocktails sont à tomber. Très bon petit-déjeuner varié également.

Hôtel très agréable, la chambre (115) de taille modeste mais suffisante pour une nuit. Nous avons apprécié le calme de la chambre. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du SPA, il faut prévoir de réserver à l'avance. Bémol sur le petit-déjeuner, les produits sont de qualité et variés, mais la taille de la salle est peu adaptée, une salle plus espacée, à l'écart serait appréciable de même qu'une seule machine à café est un peu limitée pour le nombre de personnes.
