The receptionist was very friendly during check-in! However, the room was poorly soundproofed; I could clearly hear the neighbors talking and watching TV, making it impossible to sleep. I wanted to complain, but there was no one at the front desk. It was incredibly frustrating! There was also no hairdryer!

The hotel is well located at the entrance to Chartres.
It lacks a bit of soundproofing, and the cleaning staff starting at 8:00 am is somewhat disruptive.

Excellent for an overnight stay. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and close to the town centre. The commitment to environmentalism and the excellent breakfast, as well as the very reasonable price, make it stand out as special.

A bed for the night. Reasonable for the price, but not relaxing. This was a stopover for me on a drive from Toulouse to Calais. I just wanted a restful hotel with convenient parking. This place was a bargain price (about €64 including breakfast). There’s a Novotel a short walk away that has a reasonable bar and restaurant, with very friendly staff. So the lack of facilities at the hotel itself isn’t a big deal. Plus sides: price, quirky design, decent breakfast. Down sides: no lift (annoying with luggage), no air conditioning, very poor sound insulation and a “hostel” style young crowd that talked loudly at night. You will absolutely need ear plugs to rest. Basic bedding - the double bed was two singles pushed together that wanted to split apart again. I’d recommend booking a twin room instead. At the price, I don’t feel I can complain, but next time I’ll pay a bit more and have a more restful stay.
