Good location for visiting Cognac, Angoulême and environs. The hotel has views to the Charente river and beyond. You can visit the wild ”jardin respectueux” in front and reach the river on foot for pleasant promenades. The outdoor pool isn't heated, which would make it pleasant in the hotter months. In the price of the room, we were able to reserve an hour-long slot per day for the little spa with its hammam, sauna and jacuzzi. It could do with a revamp, as could the rooms, but the communal areas seem to have been renovated more recently. The set dinner menu at 33€ was excellent and the service from Thomas and his team was very good. The buffet breakfast was copious and was made up of a great deal of local, organic produce. High five for the scrambled eggs, which must have been made the traditional way over a bain-marie.

The hotel is very clean and very pleasant after the road. The bedroom for children is a real bedroom in four rooms, which is not always the case. A small cleanliness problem has been resolved very quickly. So do not hesitate to report this kind of problems to allow the staff to react. Rooms very well isolated, we have not heard the road. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable.
