The wayside is in the center of Chatham, easy walk to shops, restaurants. No sharks were sighted! will be back again

This was my second time staying at the inn and I came back again even though it was a bit out of the way from the town my meeting was in. The reason for my return was that I loved the heating system in the room. It was very quiet which is uncommon. The rooms were very clean and it felt more like being at home than in a hotel. The location was great too. Walk to shopping and restaurants.

I am so incensed that I felt I needed to write this review. My fiancé and I selected the Chatham Wayside Inn mainly for the location and the included breakfast. We were looking forward to starting our day with a good, healthy breakfast before we set off for the day. We were expecting at least scrambled eggs or even hard-boiled eggs, maybe even oatmeal, etc. Something that someone who is health conscience would look forward to. What we got instead was a dismal selection of choices. The only thing that was somewhat healthy was Chobani yogurts. Even the fruit was a pre-packaged small fruit cup. Even a Best Western or a Holiday Inn Express, etc. gives a much better selection and healthier choices. Now for the duration of our stay we will have to go out for breakfast, which is an unexpected added expense. For anyone choosing this property based on an included breakfast amenity, I would look elsewhere because you will be very disappointed. The location is ideal but a recommendation from experience would be The Old Harbor Inn down the road. The breakfast was incredible.

This property is the CUTEST! The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and it was in was in the perfect quaint location. Its the off season so it's much quieter but I was in walking distance to all the dining/bars/shopping that was open which is wonderful!

This is a quiet and friendly spot right on the Main Street of Chatham. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently undergoing more renovation so that the restaurant can reopen in the spring. Having the hotel restaurant open will make the site even more appealing.

This was 3rd time to this property
There was note the hotel was under major renovations
It was ok restaurant was closed but around 6:00 the
Hotel became noisy not sure staff or workmen
at 8:00 the machine tools started operating
Went to breakfast which was included this also
disappointing I have traveled extensively and the breakfast
to minimal in value some fundamental condiments missing
