Silvanus Forest Retreat, Alibaug

It has been most pathetic property ever i visited. No proper cleanliness, no dental kit/soap provided, broken furniture, fluctuating electricity, water leak from AC on the bed and lot of insects in the property. Worst property anyone can stay in their life.

During our visit to Mumbai someone suggested that if you are looking for clean than Alibaugh is best destination. So we booked Silvanus Forest Retreat for 2 days. The Rooms are good but may be because of sea moisture the bathroom fitting was a bit rusty. Rest everything was perfect we were here to enjoy the beach but we also enjoyed a lot in the pool The food was delicious and service was excellent.

Silvanus is a good secluded place for a peaceful vacation. However basic amenities lack in the property. The staff is very courteous and warm and food is good. Buy for the rates charged, its not a value for money. One can explore for peace and tranquility but nothing beyond.

We had a good 2 nights stay. The place is off the main area and therefore peaceful. It is in a secluded place - nearly a kilometre away from the main road and half a kilometre from the nearest village. The campus is in a heavily wooded area and very green. The cottages and facilities are good. We enjoyed the food and the swimming pool. Really nice place to unwind

Nature loving Very nice to visit here Planning a trip to Alibag sounds like a fantastic idea! Alibag is a coastal town in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India, known for its beautiful beaches, historic forts, and serene atmosphere. Here are a few tips and must-visit places for your trip: 1. Beaches: Alibag is famous for its beaches. Don’t miss Alibag Beach for its picturesque views of the Kolaba Fort, Varsoli Beach for its peaceful surroundings, and Nagaon Beach for water sports.

The property is zero value for money. They charged us an exorbitant Rs 16k per night. Charging an exorbitant amount comes with offering basic things. THINGS WHICH WERE NOT THERE : 1. Proper parking - we practically parked our car on the road 2. Hot water - the geyser did not heat up for 30 mins and we literally had to do a crow shower (as good as no shower) 3. Hardly any food options also with the paneer being sweet, the second vegetable option left was also a sweet one 4. The food was full of oil, so much so that our hands were full of oil. 5. Breakfast did not have non fried options 6. Private pool was accessible to others (it was definitely not a private one). Also they were using the pool water to water the plants 7. The service was bad.. 8. The receptionist at checkout said wait for 10 mins as we have to check the room. Just to say the mini bar had nothing to offer and mind you, there is no food available post 10!!! 9. Roads to the place is really narrow - two cars can’t fit in at the same time.

We had a private pool room which doesn't serve as a private and is placed with other rooms. The staff doesn't tend to clean the pool. Rooms are spacious and good to stay. The staff is not at all co-operative and the food is very below average. As per the price range, it doesn't go with it. Do not recommend it at all

Between November 17–19, 2023, we visited Silvanus Forest Retreat. We were a 40-person family group including four children. Silvanus is tucked away in a verdant hillside close to the lovely and relaxed medieval village of Chaul. It is almost 118 kilometers away from Mumbai and 35 kilometers away from the Mandwa Jetty. Nearby are a number of beautiful beaches, including Revdanda, Nagaon, Aakshi, and Alibaug. The attraction of Silvanus is enhanced by its cozy suites, which include private pool suites that stretch out on the incline of a little hill, a wonderfully built pool, a roomy bar and discotheque, and a well-decorated and spacious dining hall. We held our Bhaubeej at Silvanus because we went there right after Diwali. We will remember our stay for the rest of our lives because it is difficult to hold large family gatherings so close to nature and in such a relaxed setting. We were a close family, and the Resort provided every convenience, including sumptuous meals, hi-tea and snacks, breakfasts, and above all facilities to hold fantastic family functions, and Karaoke Nights. They are extremely well-organized, and it is wonderful to see so many happy faces around. We will certainly treasure these memories for the rest of our lives and would wish to visit the place again.
